Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Do you play with you deck side ways?

I've never played with my deck sideways.

I also never fully spread out my prize cards like the mats have marked. I always do two rows of three, in a fan pattern. I don't care how players have prize cards as long as they're in a distinct location and I can see how many are left without needing to touch them.

It's not allowed guys, this already came up at US nats. Though, I'm considering playing with my discard pile sideways so I can differentiate it better with the deck.

I play with my discard pile horizontal right underneath my deck. I personally think it makes things a lot easier for you and your opponent. Stays out of the way of the bench, too.

Did you SERIOUSLY tell me to test DRAWING A CARD?
...no thank you, I am quite proficient at it, I have been doing this since playing Go Fish about 16 years ago.
=/

I meant play testing as in playing the game for a long time to figure out any changes you need to make to your deck.

I usually do that for a few hours a day a few days before a tournament.
I am not really paying attention to drawing cards as much as I am making sure my DECK works.
Seriously, drawing a card is not hard, AT ALL.

Maybe we could get someone to write an article:
"How do draw cards from a deck - Part 1"

Also a note about the mats, I play left handed, meaning my deck is on the left, and prizes on the right. All mats are reverse of that. PUI/POP/PCL will never mandate that it should have to match the mat fully, because it would feel unnatural to the player who is left handed.

Now I will inform you that i am right handed, but for some funny reason, I play lefty.

Anyways, I used to play with my deck at a 30 degree angle, that made it easiier for me to draw. But when I heard the mandate for the deck to be "North/South" I adjusted my deck accordingly, and I got used to it being that way.

If POP/PUI/PCL mandated the playing field to be played right handed, I would swallow my medicine, and adjust that also. It would take some time, but I would adjust.

Well DFB, I am a lefty, playing right handed. That was how I learned to play - off a playmat, so that is what I am used to.

I do play with the discard pile turned horizontally to the deck, and my prizes in two rows of three across to make more room for the bench.

I don't really think it's that hard, it just eats up an extra second since you have to adjust the card a little more once it hits your hand.

Speaking of where and how we put things, why can't I have my Discard over my Deck, how does that cause a problem?

I have no problem with that
The only requirement that I have is that deck & discard be opposite from the prizes.
