Dragon Trio Tins?

I just found these at my local Target yesterday. The artwork is identical to the set card apart from the Promo star in the corner. Also the tins all came with 2 Next Destinies, 1 Emerging powers and 1 Nobal Vicories packs. The card #'s are BW36,37,38.
I cant find that Luxio 3 pack blister anywhere, and if its # BW34 than what is #33? The last i have is Victini #BW32.

#33 is a Riolu that came in a single blister.
 
Already? That's a bit early... I'm going to make another trip to my local Walmart and I'll have my girlfriend check Target since she's working at this moment and she works at Target as well. :lol:
 
Riolu BW33 and Luxio B34 were both 3 pack blister promos, which I don't think have been released in America?, and BW35 hasn't shown up anywhere yet.
 
Interesting that they'd do exact reprints, just changing them to promos. Maybe so that prices for the other cards don't go out of whack? Or, more likely, so that collectors will have yet another thing to get.

Or maybe because they're on a time frame for receiving money for themselves before States.

I think it's more of we got almost exclusive artwork for the FAs of Reshiram EX and Zekrom EX, so they either didn't want get more new artwork or couldn't get new artwork made. Especailly since the artist might be busy with future EXs.
 
Meh, it's okay to me, since I never got a ND's regular Zekrom-EX and so a reprint promo will make that cheaper for me to get too, lol.
 
So since these are promos and not the actual ND cards, are these legal to use now or only for the states after the official release date? Not sure if promos work the same way as full sets.

IIRC, promos are on a legal-once-available thing. However, seeing as it is so much earlier than the technical street date was supposed to be, I'm not sure.
 
Can anyone confirm that it hit stores? Yes, I see one post saying it is, but I would like some others to confirm so I have no doubt going to Target tomorrow that it will be there. Cause if its not there, I'll be tempted to buy straight up packs :/ ...

I'm not sure either. I only have one fact from the past that might help. Back in the DP era and this Gallade was being used alot. There was a SoCal States that I was playing at and this reprint of the same Gallade was released the same day as that States. The HJ made a ruling that the reprint one couldn't be used because the only way to have gone to a league and got the reprint was if someone was giving them out early (or there was a league at 3AM which wasn't considered).

So based on that past fact I would assume that they wouldn't be usable even though they're reprints of already legal cards. So if anyone is planning on using these at any of the earlier States then at least be prepared to have to switch them for something else if they make the same ruling.

Well I went to 4 other Targets yesterday and none of them had the new tins. So I guess that one I went to just put them out early?

It's hit or miss. It wasn't at a Target I went to on Sunday but another one 30 miles away had them yesterday.
 
What are the pack contents of the tins? There are people on the first page saying it's 4 ND, and someone else is saying it's 2 ND, 1 NV, 1 EP

I went to 5 stores - 2 Targets, 2 Walmart, 1 Kmart and all were a miss for me. Then again, they've all been nearly out of ND packs (all but Target) for a while now.
 
I bought 4 of the tins, and as I said in my earlier post they all had the 2 ND, 1 NV, 1 EP pack.
Also I live in Colorado and the target I went to is the only one in my area that I have found that put the tins out so far. (also I was just there again this morning and they have only 1 left out of about18)

I told you it was most likely for marketing reasons. They're not stupid... :lol:

I went to school for advertising so I know how these sorts of business things work. They waited until the EX's are most desired to release them for those that play and those that collect will buy into the hype as usual and expected. It doesn't surprise me though at all. I want to see if they have them in this area though. Didn't yesterday.
 
Ready to Collect?

All right I am really excited for the Spring Tins featuring the main legendary trio Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom. All of you who are looking forward to it, I would love to talk about it! I am especially psyched abput the Reshiram tin, because most of my decks are fire decks and with tax these will only be about $15.50 (don't know how many pounds/euros/Canadian dollars etc. feel free to talk about price if you want)!It is an amazing deal because it come with 4 packs (regularly $16.00 aprox.)and comes with an amazing card! Talk about it amongst us, I am psyched and I hope you are to. Care to discuss?
 
Western NC had them.

Bought the Zekrom EX one. Pulled a full-art Tornadus, holo Lucario, non-holo Reshiram, and a holo Virizion (the good one). Pretty happy with it.

Interesting that it has one less pack than the other tins, but I guess the EX outweighs the value.
