If this set just contains Cards from the QCP and Deoxys box it will be the BIGGEST FLOP ever.

The set has no potential, 3 cards being good will do nothing, remember how much TRR everyone wanted, if this is another near useless set like Deoxys I will be extremely angry..

Although it will save me from wasting 20$ at the prerelease

lots of good decks came from deoxys
also those are only some of the cards in the set
 
QCP has at least two ex's that are definitely playable (Dusclops and Milotic), and the Emerald Tin has a reprint of DR Rayquaza ex (scary thought).

Also, the Emerald Tin has a reprint of TV Reporter, and if it is indeed in our set, you do realise that'll mean an easier shot at R/H TVR, right?

yes, but it will be way different. remember, RH tv reporter in dragons is different than our rh's now.
also, espeon ex is in golden sky, silvery sea. it will NOT be in this set.
 
Right on AJ. As of now, this set is garbage. A waste of paper. Firewood substitute (expensive substitute i may add). Whats the best card in this set? Milotic ex? Will we even get that? This set is disgusting so far.

is it confirmed they are not the same set because then it would be like skipping a set in japan
 
yes. they are 2 completely different sets. if you were to take both sets and add the amount of cards in both, it would be over 200. they are different sets, and there is no telling when we will get golden sky, silvery sea. (probably in july, which will screw us over for worlds).
 
I beg that EX:Emerald is not a pathetic set with not that many good cards like EX:Deoxys. And can I join the revolution for Holo Matrix Energy. I don't care if they have to replace the RH for the cards. What does Clops EX do anyways, because I haven't seen any translation for it.

And the theme decks main cards look worse than is past theme decks. At least in a few theme decks, the main Pokemon was decent. In fact I think a theme deck any one would buy is one that had 10 of each Holo Matrix Basic Energy. That alone would bring in high sales, because every one will want the energies with the major bling-bling.

And for the revolution, can I take Rayquaza so there's a fall back plan if the Red and Blue orbs fuse with you two like with what happened to Archie and Maxie in the Pokemon Manga that got stopped in the U.S.
 
shhh!!! keep the manga spoilers down buddy!!! part of the revolution is to give people paper cuts with the manga!!

anyway, the set really doesn't look good. i mean, does anyone REALLY think that the japanese are going to use easy to obtain cards in their decks? they could just go out and buy the qcp's and emerald tin and BAM--they have the set (notice how i didnt mention the mcdonalds cards because they are...well...junk) while we have to scavenger for the cards that truthfully, will not help us in the end. i was hoping we would get golden sky, silvery sea because the set looks AMAZING and it would put us at an actual competitive level with japan. instead, we get useless junk for the sole reason of "people liking legendaries." thats the only reason people will want the cards in the set--they have people's favorite pokemon, where as gsss has really useful stuff.
 
I was the first to say EX Emerald wouldn't be Golden Sky, Silver Sea, on here, anyway. But at the beginning only like 2 or 3 people believed me. All it needed was a bit of thinking and the reasons would've become obvious.

So..... Speed Deoxys a Holo, cool (The pic is nonholo because it hasn't been printed yet). I guess plenty of non holos from the tin and maybe even the QCP will be holo. And remember the FRLG decks - Charmeleon and Ivysaur on the front. Milotic and Manectric might not even be the "star feature" of them. IMO the deck art is amazing - especially the Manectric! Looks like its gonna leap out of its boundaries (Don't get any ideas rumourtists......).

I for one think EX Emerald will be one of the best sets ever...... maybe cos I like legendaries. Yeah. I think its become clear now that this has nothing to do with Gs, Ss and we can lay that to the rest. Maybe a handful (literally) of cards from it added to make up the numbers. Maybe not even that. You never know, if they want to make the next set revolve entirely around Lugia and Ho-oh - that handful may include the Johto Starters. That'd make 11 EX with the QCP, Speed Deoxys and Rayquaza or Rocket's Persian.

Of course, the make or break aspect is what the Holo Basic Energies are. Although that statement about "these are Special.... etc" is kinda confusing, but then again could be them getting confused or a mistranslation, where it could really mean "as well as Special energies" or something. But then again, Basic energies do make your Pokémon more powerful, essentially. (As do Special Energies, if you get what I mean). I, as do most of you it seems, would be very content with the holo energies seen in Japan's ADV EX1 set. I'm hoping this extends to the Special Energies.

As for Gs, Ss, I see a pr at Worlds on the horizon.... Which actually might not be a bad idea. The formats already massvie, and Feraligatr EX etc might start to "clog it up". Whereas leaving Gs, Ss (as I pointed out on another forum may be called EX Lugia and Ho-oh, for obvious reasons.....) fresh for next season could give it more prestige. And stir up next years CCs some more.

I hope we really do get that reprint of the DR Rayquaza ex, he deserves to get reprinted

Amen to that! That'd be awesome. And IMO it looks kinda likely. Although, they could just be jerks and make some new Rayquaza promo that does 20 or 30 damage or whatever........ :mad:
 
I disagree that Deoxys was a bad set, but whatever. :p

Emerald will have at least a couple good EX's, and will surely have at least a handful of playable non-ex cards, which will be good enough.

It'll also be our "trainer reprints" set, so pack-whoring will still net us plenty of staple trainers like TV Reporter.

Holo "redesigned" Energy will be icing on the cake, not the bread and butter of the set.
 
I think that there are Holo basic energycards in this set.
Remember this page is in Dutch and the knowledge about the difference between Basic en Special energies is not there.
I think in the original text it meantioned that there are special energies who make ....................
And the translator combined those two things, not knowing the difference.

It doesn't mention the rarety of the Holografic basic energy and as a sidenote in the past the Reverse holo's were sometimes also announced as Holografic..
 
However, if the printing problem trait continues, it may be the other way around for high quality ones. Hopefully it'll change though, and hopefully the foil pattern will also be of a better style than EX: Deoxys. Like erm, Rubys Sapphires and Emeralds!
