^You can invent all you want, it doesnt change that few cards in the format can dish out 170 damage and survive 120 damage attack as quickly as Mewtwo cna sit and dish it out. And adding Catcher and Evolite to the mix makes overpowered basics run the show.
 
The art isn't as cool as I thought it would be, but I still like it. I'll probably just get one for collecting.

Also, Mismagius/Vileplume. :wink:

Shino, this is kind of my point...few cards in the current format can keep up with Mewtwo (I can think of 6 off the top of my head in Zekrom, Reshiram [since you'll only have 1 energy on you after you attack], Typhlosion [since you discard their energy and yours], Mew Prime with a Jumpluff in the Lost Zone, and the obvious like Donphan and Yanmega...maybe 7 if you consider Scizor prime with it's resistance and spec. metals).

But the whole point of my post is that it's too early to say what can and can't keep up with Mewtwo. We don't know what's in the rest of the set. Obviously Mewtwo EX + Catcher and Eviolite is a good combo...but we have NO IDEA what else will be a good combo when the set is fully revealed. We have NO IDEA what the metagame will be like when Mewtwo is playable...We just have to wait and see.

Also, let's not forget that this game isn't about all OHKOing (this format currently is, but not all formats have been, or necessarily will be). Don't forget that you will get 2 prizes when you KO Mewtwo.... :cool:


EDIT: Also Shino, inventing wasn't my only point....I made like 3 others....

So I am already calling that there will be a mewtwo ex deck with shay/jirachi(this much is obvious),but if the format goes as it is then I will say you will see it with yanmega prime. This card is sooooooo overpowered with eviloite and catcher anyways, and I bet you that this card will get a hype just like lostgar.hopefully kyurem ex isnt a disappointment to mewtwo ex...i just hope that this format slows down amd will keep stage twos as a viable option.

I get the feeling that Mewtwo EX will be deemed unusable once it's released, due to the other EXes being so much more useful that Mewtwo can't keep up.

I'm far, FAR more worried about the ones with Abilities.

I'm sorry, Energymite will give the opponent a prize card lead, and is a 170HP Mewtwo really worth 2 prize cards? It's just 40 HP more that the BW Dragons. 40 extra HP for 1 prize?

Plus, my own deck can set up to take out Mewtwo EX in one hit if I had 3 Pokemon sent to the Lost Zone which includes CoL Lucario, and I use a Mew Prime. Boom, 180 damage due to weakness.

Yes, I want him back as well.

I played my Flygon Lv.X deck just for fun the other day and it brought back some great memories ...

I know others are returning from previous sets, please have Flygon back.:frown:

Looking at Flygon Lv.X, i'd be happy if they kept everything the same and let Extreme Attack target your opponents EX pokemon, i'd go back to playing Flygon in a heart beat :D

I think Mew prime will use a LZ'd mewtwo. there will be alot of anti mewtwo out there, might as well only give up 1 prize card while using mewtwo's super psychic attack.

or, run mewtwo with Jirachi and Mismagius. shaymin is just bench space, while you cam move one energy per turn with magical trans. that way you only seeker/SSU jirachi, and keep the Mismagius on the bench. it also leaves room for running the Poltergeist mismagius.
 
170 HP seems like a lot at first, especially for a basic Pokemon. Not going to disagree. But keep in mind here, that it gets KO'd for 2 prizes and any combo to be played with it would take a setup in regards to it as well. I see a lot more strategy coming into the metagame in the near future.

And take away the only thing Mewtwo REALLY has going for it (it's HP)???
