We aren't claiming to have been the first to put in claydol, or up the wager count to 4, or drop gallades down to 2 and gardevoirs up to 3/1.
It's the evolution, style, and card variation that I think warrants a different name. PLOX has never looked like the other more standard GG lists out. Even now, when PLOX features (claydol over furret, 4 wager, 4 dre, etc) become more popular our lists STILL look different.
I feel like I'm beating a dead horse. How is this a different scenario than any other deck? Just because my PLOX deck has a ralts evo line does NOT make it the same deck as anyone else's deck. That's where I think people have a misunderstanding.
Yamato's thin infernape line in empoleon changed the deck up quite a bit, and the 10-15 card difference in a PLOX list certainly changes the style and options that we have compared to a normal GG build.
