H.R. 2454 - "Cap & Trade": Your Take

Qwachancy, just stop. Please. You very obviously have NO CLUE what you are talking about, and have even more obviously never taken a advanced class in these matters. The levels of CO2 were HIGHER than they are to day millions of years ago. The same goes for air temp. If you're even going to try to argue here, then PLEASE actually make sure you have your facts straight before posting again. Whats the point in a good argument if one of the sides only presents their own personal and very uninformed opinons with out ever doing reasearch?

Yes, the earth IS getting warmer, but we can NOT say that it is JUST people causing it. It's so complex that I seriously doubt anyone will be able to figure it out any time soon. Is it us, or is it just a natural pattern? Who knows. That beind said, it never hurts to cause less polution, but you do have to keep things realistic and not go fanatic.

Do you even know what the Green House effect is, or what Green House Gasses are?

The Green House Effect is that when God chooses to warm the Earth he created at the dawn of the Universe and Jesus was His son, the Green Houses of the people of Jerusalem were warmed in holy light.

Should I apologize for being a conservative?

;)

Oh wait Darth Pika, you're right! Since I've never taken college clases like you, the Wise Old College student, I must be wrong!

In the sake of irony, allow me to remind you of this:
Pokemon cards are made frrom paper, which comes from cutting down trees, and then printed in factories which increase pollution, all in the name of a frivolous card game.

I vomited a little in my mouth when I read the first sentence.
Instead of truthfully answering the question DP proposed, you dodged it by making a, what I hope, is sarcastic comment.
:nonono:
Just answer, what are greenhouse gasses?

In the sake of irony, I don't have any Pokemon cards, and the computer I'm using is wind powered (the turbines are from a living plant that enjoys spinning).

Are you trying to make me feel bad? Well, I don't, since I know I'm so much more environmentally friendly than you, and am making myself even more Earth appreciative as we speak.

Pics or it didn't happen

No, really, don't dodge my question. I asked you a question, I expect a logical response. Heck, that was an easy Y/N question. Do you or do you not know what Green House Gasses are and do you know what the Green House Effect is?

Why would you vomit? Because of my religious views?

Greenhouses gases are gases in the atmosphere that absord and emit radiation and trap heat in the atmosphere.

Stalling to use google ftw.

Well, seeing as how Qwachansey relies on lying and name-calling to try to win people over to the green movement, his/her argument has already collapsed. However, one thing I still see worth addressing are country's priorities.

There's a reason why India and China won't go on board with this: it isn't because the United States isn't doing a good enough job of "leading the world into the 21st century," but rather because they have no personal or economic incentive to do it. They see the types of legislation we're trying to pass, and they just laugh at it all because they know that it's hollow.

The green movement isn't such a hot thing in the PRC, last time I checked; instead, they're more interested in quelling Western Chinese protests.

Having taken COLLEGE COURSES MMMM YES does not make you an expert in anything. Until you go and figure it out for yourself it's all for naught, because people can say whatever they like and all you have is their word.

Which isn't much.

You are all silly, silly, people.

TL:DR OM NOM I READ IT MUST BE TRUE up in here.

True points both!

People have a bad habit of linking to the most obscure, random, and unreliable news articles (which are loaded with 50% commentary) in order to back up themselves. And yes, college =/= supreme knowledge on global warming (or a lack thereof).

Supes you're a fun poster, and we need more of your soviet kind around here.

I never said it made me the expert on it. All I said was that I probably know a LOT more than QuaChansey on the subject.

Who's QuaChansey?

And what do you rely on? False "scientific" information?

Actually, our scientific information is quite sound. You just ignore our logic, and make excuses to try and make our arguments look bad. In reality, all you have acomplished is to make your self look very foolish.
