So, you admit someone opened a box to send you those scans and not random packs at Wal-Mart, set out very early in YOUR area only?? O really???

Just to clear things up about how retailers like Wal-Mart and Target set their trading cards, the companies themselves do not set those areas of the store. An outside vendor comes into the store just to merchandise the trading cards/figures and what product is or is not displayed is the decision of the vendor themselves. For example, all of the cards (Pokemon, Yu-gi-oh!, Magic, World of Warcraft, etc.) come in the same box mixed together with a date written on them. The old vendor at my store used to put cards out early simply because he did not care about release dates, and he just wanted to empty out his boxes so that he didn't leave work to do next time (visits are always two weeks apart) he came to the store. Our new card vendor, however, does not follow as lazy a policy, and puts out only what he is supposed to put out for the week he comes in. With the new card vendor, I don't get sets until either the release date, or a little after the release date; whereas with the old vendor i was getting them before prereleases.
This explains why one area might have the cards early while another does not; the set date at large retailers is up to the vendors not the retailers themselves.
