Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Houston, Texas Pokemon TCG & VGC Regional Championships - April 14 & 15, 2012

In the past round of regionals, a player was not able to play in top cut TCG and play in VGC as well as both events were happening simultaneously. Will this be the scenario this year or will this be avoided? Because if i made top cut of TCG i would like to not have to drop to play VGC and give someone a free win especially that far in

Top Cut for TCG (top 8 only, all division) starts at 9:00 am.

Juniors / Seniors VGC registration begins at 8:00 am - 9:30 am with Round 1 around 9:45ish.

Masters VGC registration begins at 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm with Round 1 around 1:45ish.

Number of Swiss rounds depends on the amount of players, just like TCG.

There should be enough rooms in our Pokemon block to last through the weekend!

If you're having difficulties booking in our block, go ahead and secure a room anyway. Send us a message or email, and we will have your reservations moved to our block.

We will get back to you with confirmation that your room was moved. If you don't hear back from us, please don't assume that we received your request.
 
Is Austin coming here? Yeah? Okay. I guess I'm going to Houston. Coming for the bik boi himself
 
I think it is how the most random people in seniors come out of nowhere and won and got second last year. It will probably happen this year too.:lol:
 
I know buddy!! Can't wait for the Regional goodness!! Wait.. did I type goodness.. I meant GREATNESS!!

Get those rooms NOW folks!! It looks to be another MEGA-REGIONAL by Team Cook!!
 
Good news boys and girls, I saw the cash concession menu and pricing the hotel is providing for us and we're VERY happy with it.

So, we have for you:

Cash concessions starting at 7:30 am in the atrium of the hotel.
Pasta Bar in atrium from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Starbucks will be open in the lobby all day.
15 restaurants or fast food places with in 2 blocks of the hotel

Something for everyone.

The hotel won't allow any outside food to be brought in. You may take it to your room but that's it. At the same time, they won't be policing this.

We won't allow any food or drinks in the tournament ballrooms which will be A&B and we will be policing this, lol.

Ballrooms C&D will be open for food and drink. C&D is where you can hang out after the rounds, along with out in the lobby and atrium. Plenty of room for the players to relax after playing their games.

Vendors will be in C&D. Vendors should be open by 8:30ish on Saturday. No vendors on Friday. One vendor, maybe two on Sunday.
 
This tourney just keeps getting better and better sounding!!!

Now that I think of it, I've never been to a regionals. Been to 2 nats and lots o' states, but never a regs.
