Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

How to play Mismagius GL?

I've been doing pretty darn well at league with a deck consisting of Mismagius GL LVL X, a couple claydols, a couple lucario SP, a few Unown G, a couple energy gain, 4 energy link, 4 poke-turn, a couple sneasel SP, and one each of the following:

Gallade SP
Infernape SP
turtwig SP
Luxray SP
Mamoswine SP
Purugly SP

That is, abusing perma-energy-trans of any energy (energy link pickup and putdown), constant recycling of pokes (via poketurn and warp points) to effectively hit double weakness on anything my opponent brings up. SP-radar allows me to snag just about anything I might need at any given time, and good ol' night maintenance or TSD gets it back for me. Plus, it's a heckuva lot of fun to manipulate the tools in the proper fashion. Of course, you don't need the exact pokes up there, just a good mix of types, 4 rainbow energy, 4 SP energy, and a couple of the basic energies to grab with cyrus or roseanne. It's fast, conserves energy, and hits really, really hard. Whee!

WOW, anytime you see someone mention Purugly SP or Mamoswine SP in a thread that suggested to be in a deck, then you know the thread will only go downhill from there.

Purugly SP can be a good tech for decks that happen to obtain big hands.

There are actually players here in Utah who play a GG/AMU deck who were thankful that no one actually playing Purugly SP.

Every one who has hate for my thread or for this card, you don't have to post. Just quit running your mouths and flamming, I am not here to break the format or win Worlds.

Mamoswine SP I am partial about, I think that it could be quite a card

um WOW there is alot of negative gouing on in this entire site...kinda sad really

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

and ya i agree with you pokepockets...you make a thread and then someone always has something bad to say...a shame really

Purugly G is also one of the very few SP counters to Flygon. Yes you must flip heads ... but that's an OHKO if you do. Ditto's probably a better choice overall, but you can't fetch that with SP Radar nor pick it back up with Poke Turn.

Actually, it's posts like yours that cause threads to go downhill quickly. Got anything constructive to say, or are you just a fan of irony?

As V_G mentioned, purugly is the flygon counter, and is able to be manipulated with the SP trainers. It's ability to hit flygon for 40-50 with 1 energy or 0 energy (energy gain) is nice, and in a pinch it can be frontloaded with energy to give yourself an opportunity to OHKO. The first attack can also be situationally disruptive. Ditto wouldn't be a bad addition either, since energy link isn't restricted to use on SP pokemon. Just gotta watch out for the reciprocal KO and loss of your energies.

With lucario in play, Mamoswine OHKO's any fire pokemon in the format. (120 + 10 from body). Its body is also effective against Gengar in certain situations.

You mention garbage cards, thats insulting, Im not flaming, but the statement I made was correct, didn't you guys get upset and downplay what I said?? Yes you did, meaning it did go downhill from there.

Thank you,and welcome to the Pokegym.

Garbage Cards? (not really) some of these cards are actually pretty good when it comes to build a versatile toolbox deck, I don't find it insulting at all. Once again, I am looking to build a cool, fun deck, not win Worlds/Break the format.

Welcome to PokeGym? I know I have been here for a while, but I thought this was supposed to be a community, not a place where supposed "good" players can come and and bash everything and say "LOLZ, Don't do it this way, do it this way"

LOl its supposed to be. I never said I was a "Good Player" Thats assumption you would get from the comments I made. I'm not garbage either tho.

People do it all the time, in Politics, in Sports, in Life in general. Bashing?? My opinion is they are garbage cards, the lack of use and the lack of productivity they have would make them seem dare I say "bad".

Its cool you play to build cool/fun decks, but you play the game to Win. Now thats fact.

See that's the funny part. You don't play this game to win, for prizes, or for profit. You play to have fun. (at least I have a feeling that's what a majority of the community does) You obtain hobbies and play games for fun, not because you might benefit from it in some way.
