What do you mean, screw over the format? And if there is a flaw in my logic, please point it out -- I honestly can't see it. As to for how long it should be banned, I'm not sure, but I don't see much sense in bringing it back when E-on rotates out.
Think about it this way. Just like, for most of Neon (and, if I'm not mistaken, even a lot of the original Modified), tournament-quality decks were mostly either Gatr or anti-Gatr, now the format is basically either Blaze or anti-Blaze. I don't know how you feel about it, but personally, I don't think any Modified format needs a card that makes the balance of power like that.
This is not to say that every card that becomes the basis for a first-tier deck should be banned -- far from it. If we did that, the game would quickly be ruined. I firmly believe that banning a card is something that should only be done if it is absolutely necessary. Even Gardevoir, which, with Gardevoir ex, was dominant in the time between the change to E-on and the debut of Dragons, is not a card I would support banning.
Yes, banning Firestarter would greatly change the format, but I believe it would be a change for the better. Perhaps with Firestarter gone, the deck variety we had when E-on began would return.

The format is getting more balanced as counters appear. Blaziken ex can be stopped and then there are decks that beat the anti-blaze decks. They don't need to ban Blaziken RS or ex.

Gardevoir, Kingdra ex, and Swampert/Cune would rule. IT'S THE SAME WAY NOW. Instead of Gardevoir being dominant, there's Blaziken, AND SOME WATER. It'd be EXACTLY THE SAME. ONE DOMINATING DECK.

I don't think you really thought about this. Gardevoir beats Amphy, beats Flygon, beats a lot of good shtuffz. Without Blaziken, the format would be the same. It'd be water-fest at Worlds, 'stead o' Blazefest.

Also, Blaze isn't as powerful as many people are giving it credit for. At the Chicago SC yesterday, there were only about 3-5 Blaze varients, only about 2 or 3 of which were BAR or RAMBO, and I think that only one of them made the playoffs, and that one was in the 2 person 10- group. Gardevoir and Swampert were the dominant decks here.

In Florida, there were around 25 decks that featured Blaziken out of the 54 or so entries, according to our deck checks.

Out of the 6 decks in Final 2, 4 of them had Blaze in Tennesee. And 2/3 Winners had Blaze.

Today we had our CC and the decks of nr 1,2,3,4 were all Gardevoir(ex) decks, didn't see one blaziken made it in the 15+
In 10- nr's 1+2 blazieken(ex), Aqua Manectric + rayquaza or Entei EX.
11-14 Sceptech deck ruled unbeaten.
So I don't think Blazieken (ex) will be a hype that long, watch out for Gardebomb.

The quality of Hong Kong player is not that good, so I think getting the ticket is not that difficult.

Heh, we all are guilty of playing Blaziken. Blaziken ex is what killed me in the finals, but then again, Blaziken ex is what carried me to the finals, anyways! Other than against Xeno (Salamence player) and Mr. Bye, Bex was my main hitter. Little kiddies, it's allllll blaziken now!
I think I'm giving up Blaziken for now. I'm going to go back to my roots and I'll win with rogue decks, as opposed to all this cheap crap.

I beg to differ with banning Blaziken. Yesterday at Florida SC I beat 3 out of 4 of the Blaziken variants I played with Gex/Gardy and took 7th . If we banned Blaziken , Gardevoir would just take his place and everyone would be complaining about that. Alhtough it was REALLY boring playing 4/6 of my games against the same deck. It wouldn't matter to me if Blaziken was banned as long as the game got more fun to play. I'm sorry but I do have all of the cards to make a Blaziken deck I just chose to not join the bandwagon (Like with ***trs's reign, I played Anti-***tr).

Kyogre- Of course Blaziken is still a threat ;/. BTW did you get 6th in 11-14? I was in 11-14. That would be cool if I saw you there but didn't notice cause I don't remember seeing any Ninikens around.

plop my fat expensive BEX deck down right next to me in the Gym challenge
and then promptly wip out my aggronEX deck (or maybe InSaNiTy...havent decided) and have some red face paint fun
every round im a be like.....see here is my low blow deck that you can buy a win with if you have $70....(just to prove that i have the ablitly to play one, and the knowlege to know what is good) but im a play this nice ORIGINAL!!!!!!!!!!! MY OWN CREATION!!!!!!!! deck
