Oh, and I am so going to try and build a Toxic-lax deck. The new Snorlax with Poison Hypnotic Beam and Vribank City Gym in play: if you can power up the attack it is just a bonus (or alternate strategy, yay!).

Articuno EX/ Garbodor/ Colress Machine

Victini EX/ Garbodor/ Mewtwo EX

Gallade/ Victini EX/ Gardevoir/ Mewtwo EX

Giratina/ Gardevoir / PHB/ Virbank Gym

Luxray/ Beartic PG

Weezing/ Ninja Bugs

Do any of these seem like viable possibilities?

EDIT: How come Lugia is Team Plasma's mascot all of a sudden? They even put the Plasma symbol on the FA.

Magnezone/Gothitelle and or Magnezone/TOgekiss could be interesting. Two stage twos, but two supporters per turn means you could Skyla for whatever you need and then use a draw supporter too. Hit them for the 80, bounce back to your wall. Use it with eels as a smaller line to keep electric energy into play, and play it kinda like cursegar.

Okay there is some impresive cards we seen so far but holy crap victini ex and the pokemon tool. And we cant forget articuno ex. And i really love magnazone im going to make a deck with that in it.....some day lol

Magnezone is cool. I'm not sure how usable it'll be, but it's really, really cool.

Victini EX in Ray-Eels is quite possibly the scariest thing I've ever heard. It's Thundorus, only better.

Manaphy should be better.

Quad poison. Poison still sucks.

Beheeyem is awful beyond words.

Oracle could be interesting in something like Troll.

Togekiss. It's like Gothitelle. Only worse.

Yay! They made Junk Arm not insanely broken!

So intrigued by the variety the next few sets have to offer. Stoked!

Magnezone, Gallade, Articuno EX, Lugia EX, Victini EX possible tier 1 additions.

Torterra - weak

Cherrim - Useless

Amoongus - Could see this working in some rogue deck

Infernape - A couple of seasons ago this would have been a great card, but water types are too strong in its respective format

Victini EX - I like the concept of this card, but I don't like how its first attack requires a fire energy

Articuno EX - This is definitley a good card, its prison attack does seem broken but Keldeo and switch can still get out of it

Ludicolo - Is this a joke?

Manaphyy - Last Wish is a good power for a basic. It seems more like a mid game card than a starter

Magnezone - Interesting card, but needs a meaningful pokemon to switch to so some lock can be applied

Rotom - Great Starter, and has the potential to do a lot of damage with Colress being in the format. One of the best cards in the set

Crobat - Similar cards have been released before and didn't have much impact

Cobalion EX - People were dismissing this card for being boring, but I think its a great counter card.

Clefable - This could have been an interesting card if its ability didn't require a flip

Snorlax - Has potential, but its far to hard to use

Togekiss - Would have been good if it didn't have to be active

Lugia EX - The big hype card of the set. I expect a lot of people will to incorparate it into their decks.

Colress Machine - An even better dark patch, can see this card causing a lot of donks

PGB - Raticate, Ninetales anyone?

Colress - Finally a replacement for PONT and its better

Grunt - Won't see play

Plasma Frigate - Type matchups have played too big a role over the last couple of years. At least now
there is a credible counter to it.

Scramble Switch - First I though, "as long as Computer Search is around no other ACE-SPEC will get a look in". Now I've thought about the combos I can see this card having some impact

Dowsing Machine - Would you rather have any card from your deck or any trainer from your discard?
Plasma Ball - Solid one sided card

Klinklang - Good ability, but you'll need the Gear Shift one as well. Which could make the deck hard to setup

______

Conclusion - There isn't going to be a whole lot that helps Hydriegon, apart from Colress which every deck benefits from. Eels gets Rotom and Zapdos EX, but the big winner in my opinion is Blastoise.

havent you read victini ex pokemon tool where you can make attack with no energy cards!

But if you use Victory Piece, you just wasted your ace spec slot, which means no Computer Search. And you still only have 110 HP. Victini is good because it only needs one energy to accelerate, which can be filled with blend or prism easily.

Looking at the strictly new cards revealed:

Main set stuff:

Maractus: Possibly the worst yet.

Simisear: Artwork is nice, but really not worth it.

Heatmor:A worse Carnivine.

Garbodor: Bad.

Donphan: I hate that his big attack takes 4 energy. if it took 3, i could see it being useful with so much HP and the ability to hit and run against Fighting weak Pokemon.

Liepard: An interesting card to say the least. Good disruption.

Durant: He's okay. A decent starter option who can lock up your opponents starteer. Not bad.

Dodrio: After having such a decent one, this is such trash.

Watchog: Nope.

Side/Promo stuff:

Skarmory: Eh. Virizion doesnt see much play and this is forces you to have a certain card in your hand and discard when there's TPG anyway. Doesnt intriuge me.

Bouffalant: DCe + COlress = T1 70. One of the more solid hitting Plasma Pokes.

Plasma Ball: Good for Plasma obv.

Garbodor: Biosmog is interesting. Poison with Virbank and energy disruption. Not great though.

Durant: Meh

Watchog: Not really.

So we only have 1 dragon pokemon in this set... Looks like the dragon phase is starting to die out.

Or it could be that there's only a limited amount of dragon typed pokemon and they don't want to reprint the same pokemon lines 100 times in a row?

I mean, the new type is great and all, but it's not like there's that many dragons. This is kind of like the dark type (and steel too) in the neo 1-4 sets.

There's only so many dragons to go around.
