I wouldn't be so certain; usually these kinds of effects don't stack; Virbank might even overwrite its own effect, which would be awful. If it actually places 4 counters as the translation I saw indicates, that isn't "bad" either; by the end of your turn, unless you were hitting Weakness, it's like you hit for 80... with the chance of it becoming 120 for (3) if your opponent does nothing about it. Great? No, but it at least has potential.

Virbank City Gym - Trainer
Stadium

If a Pokemon is Poisoned, place two more damage counters on it between turns.

This card stays in play when you play it. Discard this card if another Stadium card comes into play. If another card with the same name is in play, you can't play this card.

^^^ The card if translated correctly says place two more damage counters, so if crobat puts 4 damage counters for poison, would you not then add 2 more from the stadium? I don't see how it wouldn't work...

That is the question. A different translation (likely an earlier one) contained the clause "instead of". The site I got the translation from now contains the one you listed, so hopefully I am wrong.

I hope it is two more as well... 60 damage between turns for poison would be fun !

Er, yeah I meant just poison is 60. IDK I like klinklang a lot. Just run Klinkgalng/Registeel with the plasma one in it too. Nothing can one shot dem eviolited registeels!

Yep! It increases by two! (Sorry for causing the Virbank City Gym mistranslation guys. My mistake on that one)

But Klinklang is definitely real and Can now be seen here in full with a ridiculously large image! lol

This does indeed suggest a reason to play more Fire decks... even though we may see more, potent water Pokemon as well.

That Klingklang...is awesome.

And here I thought Pokemon TCG was totally favoring EX's...Skyarrow bridge, evolite, all that.

Steel decks and dark decks are so spoiled now. They get special energy and all this stuff too.

Anyone able to translate that Plasma Ball promo? Im curious as to what it does or even to get an idea of what it might do.... it is partially covered up but still!

who knows. IIRC rainbow energy was always reprinted, but in BW-ON i doubt rainbow energy will be reprinted.

Rainbow was out of the format for about 2.5 years. Replaced by the (IMO more balanced) Multi Energy.

I would assume its something like sesrch your deck for a team plasmas pokemon, show it to your opponent, put it in your hand. Shuffke your deck aftrrwards.

Ah, but they're bound to be reprinted though, I mean those cards have been reprinted all the time since gold/silver days.

Have they ever been so late to a format, though?

You could be right, but the question is does Japan have them in their BW-On format? If not, TPC may have decided that with Basic Darkness/Metal Energy cards, it is time to phase out the Special Energy cards. Referring to them did make life a bit complicated.

Certainly not conclusive since they could be "just about" to re-release them, but I would say it really is a wait and see... and if we don't get them by in the next set released in the U.S. odds are they are intentionally being phased out!
