Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Kinds of Players...What Player ARE YOU?

Love the Thread

My rating at the moment is 1884 so I would consider to be under Tactical, Universal, TeCHer, Beat Downer, and Expert...Moreso Universal but with traits of the other categories.

How about..

The Parent-player:

Can have wildly varying skill level. Often not the fastest player. Is usually not bothered by not knowing what every card does. Tends not to play the best decks as their child/children have already taken all the best cards. Can be identified by the amount of poke-stuff that they are carrying around.

LOL....that almost fits me to a T also NoPoke. Would be a great addition to the list. My son not only gets the good cards, but he went further a few months ago and took my entire deck I had built and used it to win 2 city championships! Thats OK though, becasue it made me build more decks and I finally got one I liked for States and went to N Carolina and had a blast.

I'd have to say, Inventor- Rgoue- Expert. I pwn at this game, I pwn at life, and I am the master at deckbuilding. I also hate losing but I don't lose a lot, excluding me out of braggart =p. I have pretty sweet ideas though.

Expert/Tactical/Universal
Expert- cause I can put up a good fight with just about any deck
Tactical- RockLock & darktrance (need I say more)
Universal- I prefer to take a good deck and tweak it a little bit so it seems a little rogue-ish

NOT a braggard- I don't mind loosing but I prefer winning (no duh) and I don't rub it in peoples faces when (and if) I beat them.

good article I like it and hope that it might open a few eyes as to what this game is all about.

I feel llike a mix of Inventor, Rebel, Tactical, and Force player. Im always building new things or improving on the old while running an archtype or two for high-stakes games.

I consider myself a....

Tactical: I play smart, and try to outwit opponents in every game. A little bluff goes a long way sometimes =)

Expert: I've made the finals at every (Save 1 =/) prerelease i've attended.

Rebel: I love playing off the wall decks like Slaking, and MMWBPDR (Multiple Metagross With Bellossm Pidgeot Deoxys and Registeel)

Im a 100% complete absolute with out a doubt, under any and all conditions and tournys a.......................................................................................................... Newbie. I have to be! God i sucked at pokemans!

I would have to say that I'm a Tactical/Rebel player with intermediate skill- I don't think I can say that I'm an expert- yet. They should also add another category- Traveler/Ride Sharer- someone who loves to go to tournaments, regardless if they do good or bad and loves taking his/her fellow players around the US so they can play where they may not otherwise be able to.

racks own brain to come up with unique good deck ideas....but always follows everyone elses great deck ideas....im a universal i guess, i am really lucky and dealt with a bad hand, i can sometimes flow with it to a win....:/

I am:

The Tactical Player:
Usually tatical players play with a style something like this: they like to outsmart and outwit the opponent. They are usually people who play rogue decks because they find great pride in it.

AND

The Inventor:
The inventor is usually the creator of either rogue decks or top decks because they always look for scans of new cards and try to find what card can combo with what. They usually make pioneers in deckmaking.

Let's see, Rogue decks I've made work, just to name a few.
Espeon/Jumpluff (MF Counter)
Light Draggy/AQ Espy (Metagame)
Ferrelligatr (Metal EXP Gatr)
Slaking/Salamence ex (MMF Counter)

Basically, I win with decks I create myself, but I'm not afraid to bust out an Archetype if I need to. Bottom line, I'll play well, make very few mistakes (Tactical) and usually do it with one of my own decks (Inventor). Look at the signature below.

(Note, I'm not a braggart either)

uhh i guess i would have to be universal, because i try to build my own decks and they sometimes work but...i usually play someonelses and do pretty well.

i dont win the big tournaments though.i got 5th in MI and 4th in MS.

i just got back into the game right before the AQ/MA prerelease : )
