Uh, no.

They have always set up the rarity to make it so that three boxes give you a shot at getting the complete set.
There was one print run where they accidentally had too many * Pokemon, and the first print run of R&S that had one ex for every three packs, but that was about it.

I seem to remember a one in six pack ratio of exes for a good chunk of the RS-block sets.

I think I'll forget about prereleases and just buy a few boxes now that the Lv.X ratio has finally been increased. WMP posted that the Lv.X's average 2 per box, so that means the ratio ranges from 1-3. Very nice.

:nonono: Dont discourage players from attending PRs. We all know you cannot go to any tourneys for awhile (your own posts, recall???).

Go to your local PRs and have FUN! It is a great way to support your local Pokemon community. Without that support, you may not have future events in your area. :thumb:

Actually PokePop, B_T is partially right. I am not sure about R/S but I beleive it was 1 in 3 at the beginning and then change for R/S for 1 in 6 packs. For Sandstorm and Dragon which I beleive there about 7 if not exactly 7, were 1 in 6 packs. They became harder to get as soon as Magma vs. Aqua came out.

Wow, Supreme Blast? Eh, could've been worse.

I just love the Rayquaza and Yanmega though. And Ditto seems like it could be fun tech into Garchomp decks.

I would discourage all players from attending any prereleases in general.

Is Castform 4-per deck in total now? I haven't been following the rules recently and I dunno about these Burmy, Shellos type things etc. Is the form part of the name? And if not how come Mothim can evolve from Burmy when no card called Burmy exists?

As for Knuckles' attack... Supreme Blast's a decent name. It'll do.

the ruling these days are that you may have 4 of each "form" of a pokemon in a deck. So yeah, 16 of the new Castforms in a deck is legal now. Not sure about the old castforms though.

As for Mothim, he can evolve from any of the Burmies. It's vague for a reason.

Right ok, so it is part of the name. That's what I thought was a bit odd about Mothim, it just says evolves from Burmy, but since there's no card with the name Burmy, per the rules it wouldn't be legal. Or is there a specific rule that covers Mothim?

Is this a special case that's covered somewhere in the DP rules? I haven't really played this game properly for a couple of years and haven't kept up to scratch with this kind of thing. What are the rules concerning Shellos/Gastrodon and Burmy/Wormadam? Can you have 4 of each variety?

Okay...well I am confused too right now.

You can have 4 of each Burmy/Wormadam. I could have sworn it was different for the Deoxys. I dunno. Disregard what I said earlier.

It looks like they've gone around how it was by adding the "Forme" to Deoxys name. The EX cards never had that so you were limited to 4 total. Now it would appear that you can play 4 of each Forme. Presumably, the same can be said about Castform.

In that case I don't understand how Mothim can even be played.

If you can have 4 of each Burmy/Wormadam, that means the cards have different names, right? In which case there's no card called Burmy for Mothim to evolve from, just "Burmy X Cloak" x3. Mothim doesn't evolve from "Burmy X Cloak". It shouldn't just be down to common sense, by that logic Scyther ex should be able to evolve into regular Scizor.
