That's not true. College students dominate the 15+ age division in OP, which is always has the largest number of players at Nationals, Worlds, ect.
As much as you competitive ppl want to belive, the game isn't entirely about organized play.

Okay, so the lower amount of packs has been put into place so as not to saturate the local card shops market. We now get a deck box. If people go to more than one prerelease, after a couple sets they'll have several deck boxes, and probably will not have to buy any more, as every few months they will be getting one-two more boxes. Local shops now have lots an entire game's fanbase's sales for deckboxes.

Personaly, I'd rather have the two packs, as yes, they are the best deal they helped same money, and yes, the event is always well ran (and some extra prizes too, great job BDS/sean/chris, even though I couldn't attend any ;_;) and its great to see my buddies that pla pokemon in other parts of the state. This "$10" box wouldn't save POP much money if that was its real value (though I admit I am assuming that they save money on these prereleases) and wouldn't cards be cheaper to produce than deck boxes, as there isn't a middleman, and packs take up less space, reducing shipping costs?

Again, I am not the kind of person that likes to be critical or make waves, as I love the game, but i am personally a small bit dissappointed at this prize structure (and yes, I read all about it on the website weeks earlier than this, but now seemed a more appropriate time to express my opinion).

Edit: Okay, now I'm going to concoct a rebuttal for my own ideas for some reason....yea....
So now that people don't have to buy deck boxes, they can spend the money on boosters, which is good for PUI (they are running it now, yes?), instead of boxes, also being good for some of the retailers that now sell more packs. Ah,. well, my feelings are still that I'd rather have the packs.
