GG.

If you guys can't see the possibility of a huge number of new players and the benefits of running this alongside this promotion, you are dense. This is a brilliant idea, a lot of new players will come into the game. A lot more players will go because it is in Houston, a lot more players will JOIN the game, and at the cost of a few Oklahomans. Boo hoo. The game benefits the most from this location, so it was a proper decision and I fully support it.

Robby, I'm not trying to find a state closer than this, I'm trying to find a venue closer. Hence, I'm looking for Arlington.
Ryan, you prove nothing. A simple photo isn't going to prove a single thing and you know it.

I vote next years reg. are played in...............The Alamo, yes thats right, San Antone! We could have a poke park at the Alamo, with rides and such, maybe even a dunk whicker booth! Sweet!!!!!
I've already written PUI the letter! Anyone who would like to see this, please write your letters and post your response here!

whicker knows who will be at the front of that line, just to see him! you should feel special whicker there aren't many ppl i look forward to seeing. keep it real and do the world a favor and drop this crap whicker and maybe you will get some respect and consideration but until then i don't see that happening.

ryan I understand ur argument that the houston does serve for the better of the game since it has the possibility to bring in more players. but you still fail to see whickers point. Houston isn't the most ideal place to hold the venue if that means it'll represent the southern plains regionals. When you represent a region its suppose to be in the place where the most ppl who are represented have the easiest access to go. See u live in florida right lets say hypothetically they moved your venue from Orlando to Atlanta for the reason of it'll bring in more players. how would you feel. (lets say atlanta does have more players than the florida base does to). Its easier to give the answers to someone else when you dont have to deal with the problems they are dealing with. Like a psychologist for example. Im sure many of them dont take half the advice they give their patients.

I would like to finally post my own opinion on this...
Even though I'm from the streets of NY, I believe that Nasa space center is a really good place to hold a regional. Sure it may be in TX, but it's big enough to try and get a lot of people from different states to come. Wasn't this was supposed to be all about?

Whicker, I am sorry to say this, but I agree with people who disagree with you throughout this whole thread. You should find other ways to travel and such, so do yourself a favor, and find an alternative. I know this is a thread where you bicker about the Regionals not being in OK, but what if there are some people from TX who can't go to OK?What is wrong with people today you ask? Well don't ask that, wonder what is wrong with you? Yes, I should be minding my own business, Whicker, but I just have to let my opinion out sooner or later.

Read the entire thread 1st please, Whicker isnt saying take the regional to OK bc he is in OK, he wanted it to STAY in Arlington TX (like it has been the previouls 2 yrs). Arlington is 3-4 hrs closer to him and more centrally located for the region. I understand Jordan's argument. I just disagree with him :) It should be in the location where the MOST people period will go, not just where it has always been. Maybe after this year, it will go back to Arlington?? I dunno. It could stay in Houston. Either way, it is the PTO to decide where to hold it and for the people to show up to it! If it is a poor selection, the proof will be in the numbers and that PTO may not get the bid from POP/PUI the next year. It is still a business, you know?

Alright, thank you all for at least understanding my argument. I figure I can't change your mind, but whatever, I'll keep fighting.

ok, so we got 2 votes for SA. Sound out guys and gals, Will the Alamo be the site of next years Regionals?
OF COURSE!
SA needs a big event.
We're ready for it. And I think that Team SA deserves it!
Of courseI live in San Antonio but hey!

Ok, we got more votes! This is great!!!!!! Thank you for your vote, Prof Elm, I'll be passing a petition around at Regionals to send to PUI. So lets get those votes out for The Alamo!

Well, Tina, that sounds pretty good, but I think that whicker wants to have it somewhere other than Houston. So the Alamo I think would be good.......but I like your place as well! So keep those votes coming in folks!

I am not gonna take sides... I am just gonna point something out...

I am pretty sure that the Regional for that Region (It Is In Texas ATM) Is a Pain For A Lot of ppl... Since The Fact That If You Live in the State above OK (I think it is KY) You have to go thru OK and then Thru Part of TX to get to the regional in your area... I just think that regionals should be somewhat in the middle of the Region it is desiginate for since it doesnt really make sense otherwise...

O.K. Now that it is over I would like to say I enjoyed going down to Houston and visiting the Space Center. It was great for the kids and we would not have gone for regionals alone. N.A.S.A was the clincher. But after enjoying pokemon Regional we would have to say we are glad we did not miss it. It was so good that my son wants to go to St. Louis. I think that may be pushing it for an eight year old and his travels to play a TCG. I mean what will the neighbors think. So when looking at the distance to St.Louis it got me looking at other Regions. It must be nice if you live around these three regional events. Chicago, Indiana, and St. Louis. All within 5 hours or less of each other. and on three different weekends. So maybe next year back to D/FW or the Alamo and give a region to Oklahoma also. It sure would be nice to have three regional events within a reasonable days drive around here too.
