Aww,....DCD...

Come on up to St. Louis...

I guarantee it will be an event the likes of which you have never seen, or been a part of.

We have so much going on before, after and at lunch, my staff is already worried about their breaktimes!

talk to you all soon!

Vince

Oh, and how do you argue with attendance of 254?

Man, I have a big number to shoot at!

Vince

I never thought I would travel the country doing this. I use to do it when I ran Marathons. Most of the travel was by air. Two months ago they had airline specials to St.Louis. Let me go check priceline.

Well now with the regional said and done, both of our points were proven:

-Attendance was heavily favored by putting it here. No regional has even been this big.
-The region itself lost a little bit of representation, but it was all good.

The venue was fantastic, but to please everyone involved, perhaps it could be moved an hour North (ie, The Woodlands or College Station) for next year? That would be more manageable for our pretty nicely-sized Oklahoma player base, stays convenient for San Antonio/Houston, as well as any other out of staters in the nearby area.

Oh and Vince, whyyyyyy did you have to move it to StL?!?!? It coulda been in Branson or Tennessee, but nooooo =P

Better luck next year! Always YGO, Duelmasters, Brawl Catfight...

...and I think it speaks a lot of volume about Oklahoma, seeing as how all five of those that played top cut, and the one that judged...judged well

And the above statement could have been turned around because I was asked to judge as well, but chose to play instead.

Mike - There are a heck of a lot more competitive players than 6 in OKLA. Had this been in the Arlington area I'm sure there would have been 20+ again.

Next year I fully expect this event to be back in the Arlington area with MP Birch running the event. I expect this event to flip flop back & forth between the 2.

We know about the players in Oklahoma. Remember, I did put a smiley face at the end of my statement. The top 16 in 15 + would've looked alot different if more Oklahomans made it down.
