They probably couldn't use an English 4 because they didn't have the resources to defend against the copyright enforcement action(s) by The Thing, The Invisible Woman, Mr. Fantastic and the Human Torch. You'd think they could bring in a team of PKMN to counter those guys, but oh well...
 
that gallade is cool and will be in the up coming meta and that flotzel & hippowdon Lv X will be awsome
 
This has sparked some interest in me (I'm sure others are thinking this too): I think I'm gonna go learn how to write numbers 1-10 in Japanese.

Imagine if Pokemon-ex had been "Pokemon-X". I bet some folks would get upset about that.

That would really be dumb if that's what was behind it. It's bad enough that they don't print Kadabras out of fear.
 
So far this set looks might intersting. I like that floatzel that get6s supporters back and i like the gallade. It makes old gallade more playable ;)

I cat wait to see what else this set brings come nationals. I know if gallade picks up i will have to invent a new deck to compete.
 
I predict SP decks are going to rule the roost from here until the set that replaces Platinum launches in about Two years.
 
Ugh! I don't know if I like the direction that pokemon is taking, going with all these basic pokemon. It seens like you will be playing one of two decks. Either an all basic pokemon SP deck. Or you play machamp haha. I can't wait to see what unfolds for worlds of 09!!!
 
Yknow, with a bit of goodwill I think that the kanji near Gallade can be seen as an E and a 4, if you look at it real closely.
 
I think Dialga G is going to become nigh unusable come the set after this one...Kind of makes me laugh, but at the same time it's a shame...

Anyway, I love the spoilers we've received for this set. I'm not going to lie that I'm excited about the Gallade Level X, but the normal Floatzel and the Steelix look fine, too.
