Obama Wins! (Official)

Of course "Hussain" is an unfortunate middle name.
Just as it would be unfortunate if McCain's middle name were Adolph.

But it's just that. A name.

Hey, don't you know, he'd already won several weeks ago. That's what I'd been hearing for a long time now anyway

Depending if there is another Florida issue (not picking on Florida) we may not know who really wins for several days later.

Right now McCain has the lead 8 to 3, kentucky vs. vermont. Early voting among reporting precincts are in favor of McCain right now.

I see a 70k vote swing to Obama right now, but it's still early.

It still irks me, though, that they call states without ANY of the vote being tallied!

McCain is expected to win Kentucky and South Carolina, and looks to be in a lead for Georgia. Kentucky, I can believe, but South Carolina and Georgia?

Obama is winning florida, but polls in virginia are going for mccain right now. It looks like we're in for a long night. Virginia was supposed to be the bellweather for the Obama Campaign, if he won that the race might as well be over.

Keep in mind, a lot of these numbers are based on exit polling, which isn't always accurate.

This is bizarre. Seems like Obama is winning all the northern states and McCain all the southern states. I would have thought it would have been the other way.

Confederacy? ;[

I hope Obama wins so I have a good excuse to move out of the country.

Nothing has been a surprise so far.

It's rather sad to see NBC calling Pennsylvania for Obama with none of the vote in yet. You'd think they would have learned their lesson about exit polls. Even so, I'd say PA is probably going to end up in the blue column. That's bad news for McCain, especially with him currently down in Ohio and Indiana.

It seems as if Obama won SC. But I agree. It does seem like the Southern states are more of McCain. This will be very interesting indeed....

You want hypocrisy?

I've got a screenshot of MSN calling South Carolina for McCain with Obama ahead 55-43 and 0% precincts reporting.

The southern states are voting for McCain because these rednecks love their gun rights, illegal abortion and Jesus juice. It's the bible belt, I mean... c'mon. It's not really THAT surprising.

I just know that if he wins the election, I'm shaving my head.

Okay, NPR made it blatantly clear that McCain seriously has to win Ohio, Florida, Arizona, and California in order to have a CHANCE at winning. A chance. Even if he did somehow pull all of that off, it still doesn't mean he is going to win.

I'm mostly pleased that the Democrats won Virginia, my home state, for the first time in 44 years (mostly because I bet 5 dollars they would ).

Or maybe they aspire to a greater living and know that under Obama they can be content with mediocrity.

Also, don't generalize, it makes you seem ignorant.
