The interactive deck list generator is back as of Memorial Day (US) weekend 2014 - and this is the place to ask support questions, report bugs, content gaps, etc.

First!

  1. NXD symbol does not show in the set symbol legend in modified (haven't check unlimited).
  2. Dragons Exalted should be DRX not DRE for the set symbol legend.
 
Pokemon Fan Club is flagging as possibly not allowed in modified format. I checked several other resources and cannot find a reason for it. Is this a glitch? If you need a scan, please let me know and I'd be happy to provide it! :)
 
This problem has been fixed on our test site. There was a error in the card naming convention (I accidentally used the stylized 'é' instead of just 'e') that was preventing this card, as well as Pokemon Center Lady from being seen by the program. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Please let us know if you find any other problems.

6/29 Update

With Canadian Nationals wrapping up yesterday and US Nationals hot on it's tail, the new PokeGym Deck List Generator has been seeing some good use. If you tried to create a list in the last few days, you may have noticed that there were a few cards missing from the "Modified Legal" card pool. It is highly unlikely that you would have run into any problems unless you were attempting any of the following:

1.) Use of PR XY18 - PR XY20 (Chesnaught EX, Delphox EX, or Greninja EX)
2.) Use of 'Pokemon Fan Club' from set prior to FLF.

These errors have been patched and since updated. Please feel free to contact us if you guys have any problems or if you discover any "glitches."

Isn't Reshiram 113/114 from BW still legal? The cards with the exact same hp,attacks,stats,etc are legal. So I just want to make sure it's still legal before I use it (considering all the other ones are in the program) ^_^
 
Thank you so much for reporting this issue. For the record, yes, BW 113 has been reprinted and is legal in modified tournaments. As it turns out, for whatever reason, none of the pokemon from sets prior to NXD were pulled in from the modified reprint list. I apologize for this inconvenience. This problem has been fixed on our test site as of this post and will be fully integrated into the main site as soon as possible.

Thank you so much; I really appreciate that this is up and running again. What is the best way to save decklists so that they can be modified for the next tournament? I have tried saving the page to my hard drive. But then, I don't see that it is editable. Or can it be opened in Adobe and edited? Is there another way?
 
Hey there, webjefita! Saving in the current version of the deck list generator is a little confusing (something I hope to fix eventually) but I assure you, once you figure it out, you'll be a deck list saving fiend.

Once you've completed your deck list, click on "File" and then "Save." A prompt should open telling you that another window is going to open. In the new window you should see some plain text. This, for all intents and purposes, is your deck list. From this point select all the text in the window and copy it into a text editor (i.e. Notepad). Save the new document with an .html extention (instead of the normal .txt). You will then be able to open your deck list from the document you just created.

If these steps are still unclear, please let me know and I will look into creating a tutorial video for you and any other users that have problems with saving deck lists.

I have a Deoxys EX BW82 that does not show up in any format.

I am trying to make my list for regionals can you please update the database?

Hey everyone,

I know it's been a while since I posted here. I wanted to let you know that I have (or will have) everything taken care of regarding the most recent concerns. I do see that we are missing several promos from the black and white era, which I will cover in the next patch (aka the next day or so.) Also note, the age divisions have been updated as of the most recent release.

Thank you for maintaining this excellent utility!
Currently there is a bug related to the "save" feature that is preventing Furious Fists cards from being available after you open the saved HTML. To duplicate the error, just add an FFI card, click save, save your HTML, then open it and try to find the same card... it won't be there.
The fix is simple... the javascripts path has been changed, so you just need to update the code behind the save feature to use the new path, either that or move the scripts back to where they were before.
I was able to fix my saved copy by replacing the script definition section from:

Hi, I tried to add a couple of cards from the XY Trainer Kit - the Sylveon and Noivern half decks - and the cards didn't show up when I searched their names. To the best of my knowledge, they are legal cards, so I think they might've been omitted from the database.

Thank you for this information! I will look to add these cards along with the Phantom Forces set in the next update coming up here in the next couple of days. Keep up the good work guys!!
 
First, thanks for bringing this decklist generator up-to-date!

Minor content issue: When I add Sigilyph (LTR-66) the builder shows 66/115 instead of 66/113 (as it is on the card). Not sure if this is a typo or not ... ?
 
As always, thanks for keeping us informed about the errors you guys find. I try to stay on top of these when I add the new cards, but alas,some things slip through the cracks. Anyways, this error has been fixed and should see an update within the next 24 ours, or so.
