I had some bizarre problems when i signed up - it wouldn't let me use the User name i wanted (already taken - must check against the Professor list) and it wouldn't take my email address (already registered, which is strange that they check emails). So i had to use another of my emails...

I had the same problem and I don't have an alternative e-mail!

I was able to use the same email for both myself and my son.

About the rankings; will they only include those who sign up on the new site? Will there be a cut-off date to tranfer your old rating to the new site?

The little changes that have popped up since yesterday are nice:

- A place to log in prominently displayed on the OP "Home" page
- A link to "My Pokemon" which appears after logging in (in the same prominent location)
- Links to view and edit your profile at the top of your My Pokemon page titled "Welcome firstname lastname" (I don't remember seeing that yesterday, at any rate)

I had the same thing happen to me when I tried to use my tournament email off of my website, but didnt work, so I just went with my Yahoo one and it worked fine.

Change password??

Ok got us registered except for my 12-, have to send in the form.

But my question is how do we change a password? We got our confirmation email and it states you can change your password to something more personal but do not see the option. I've looked through our profiles and edit profile but nothing to do with a password.

Oh and it would only allow us to register 1 email to 1 id, couldn't use same email addy for different id's. Says already registered and if you need password help.

For those with no extra email, hotmail.com and yahoo.com have free email accounts unlimited.

I think the signup page is glitchy, myself...I got the 'email already in db' message the first time I tried to sign up, but tried again and got through that time...

I sure HOPE it lets me use my email for my kids' numbers...

Did you see something like this on the Edit Profile page:

Player Profile

Username: <your username>

Password: ********

Confirm Password: ********

If so, type what you want as your password in both boxes and click the Submit button at the bottom of the page. This will change it.

Duh- got it now, silly me

Thanks

Here's another interesting feature (?) of the site. I created two accounts yesterday, one for myself and one for my son. I did mine first and had no problem. When I attempted to create my son's I got the "Email address already in DB" message. I also had to enter his DOB more than once (initial entry screen and again later during registration). I know that I entered his birthdate because I had to think about the year. When I logged in today to change his password, I noticed that my birthdate was displayed on the Edit Profile screen. The option to change it is grayed out so I can't fix it. I've sent a message to POP so hopefully they can straighten it out.

Also, I don't remember if the registration forms asked but when I went to the Edit Profile screen the Gender selection was blank for both accounts.

Of what I was reading and understanding, it sounds like it will merge or change to the email account.
I tried to do my daughters on my email addy but said already in db, so gave her one with her own addy. But what I'm afraid is that if I went in and changed her addy to my same email, it would merge the two Id's together.

I haven't tried this because of that fear, but that's what it sounds like may have happened to you??

Gender is left blank until you update your profile, but I think it's only for their use because it doesn't show on your public profile.

If your doing more than one sign up then you have to close out of the web browser and start over,
(some have had to shut down and restart)

It has to do with cookies saved. pm me if you still have problems i can help u thru it.

The ratings/rankings are starting to appear on the site. :) Only those players that have created My Pokemon accounts are shown. You can see tournament matches also, but only for the registered users. Winners appear in Green, losers in Black. Unregistered opponents are blank.

Is there any time limit to sign up on the new page and keep your ratings?

I wouldn't want to see any surprises as we get closer to the Worlds cut off date.

I'll repeat what I'd said in another thread: since the 'gym isn't an OFFICAL board, important questions need to be addressed directly to POP rather than hoping they'll be noticed and replied to here...
