I, too, would like to know if there's a strategy to giving reprint sets away in a format like this. Perhaps to make future sets that much more well-received? It sure seems that way.

i take it as you trying to make me look like a am a sexist or something of that sort, and its obvious that you are, and i really do not appreachiate it.
i was very respectfull in my earlier post about you, and i am going to continue to do so, so please show me the same?
and if it doesnt look like im being respectful about this, then please know that i am doing my best to be respectfull in these posts.

i have read a lot of all of their posts as well, but they go about correcting something, or voicing their opinions compaired to others in a MUCH nicer tone than yourself.

and like i said, it wasnt just that post.
its been almost every post that i have ever seen that is colored what ever shade of purple that might be.
i have head that you are a marvolous person in real life. but on these boards, you really do go about posting things like you going out of your way to make the other person look foolish.
i am most certainly not trying to attack you or anything of the sort, but i really am sick of reading there purple post that are loaded with more sarcasm and sometimes rudeness than the ones in Chriscobie's and SPARTA's arguements, and quite frankly, thats saying something.

This is what PokePop is talking about... if someone posts SCANS on another site (WPM, LD, w/e), then yes, we allow DISCUSSION of it here. This might hack off some webmasters, because their leak is discussed off their site (and we get a lot of vitriol behind the scenes about this), but re-read Pop's explanation of why we do this, but I'm leaving the chalk mark under Integrity, rather than Hypocrisy.

Bro, we'll leave those rinky dink tricks to other sites, if any. We have a diverse staff here that can see the posting IPs; that kind of stupid stuff would get called out. I call FUD on your argument there.

I would prefer non-reprint cards in the POP Series. We need new stuff to make the metagame even better.

why did my post get deleted? ugh, I'm going to keep retyping it until you guys let it stay, I did nothing wrong.

I have toned it down a whole lot lately. When was the last time you seen me insult someone? As I see there is no benefit in bashing someone, but instead posting valid arguments to try and win threads or make good points. I would rather do that then been seen as a bully on these boards.Have you not see the Deck Strategy forum, where I have been trying to help people left and right.

I'm not going to try the other stuff I had written about 'Mom's rudeness, I really do hope she read it though. If not 'Mom and if you care I will retype it. It may be a bit off topic, but it's worth noting.
 
Ok to get back on topic, now that we know that it's another reprinted Pop set, how do you (the mods) feel about the set? Or can you provide a good explanation on why the guys higher up would make another reprint set?

You guys know how I feel about it, now I want to read your thoughts on it instead of keep going back and forth on the whole issue of them being released before the actual release date.

Well, theoretically you could pull the set in 50 packs or less if you got really lucky with the rares as there are I think 5 in this set and a rare is 1 in 10 packs. However, you could open 70 and still not have a full set. So there is really no way to tell how many were opened other than they were opened and shouldnt have been.

Has anyone Flagged that seller to eBay, or is there not enough basis to do that?...Cuz to me thats just wrong.

Anyways, I was a little shocked to hear that the POP7 Set was reprints. Some of them I like (Mainly for the Prof Cup, and for the Alt Art) but thats about it.

Just did. Doesn't matter, though. Ebay is particularly notorious for not caring...

Personally, I'd like the set to make players like you happy as well as make novice players happy.

I understand that POP has a certain range of promo cards that they are trying to release and they can only work with the cards that are created by PCL in Japan.

However, if I had my way, I'd use some of these alternate art promos for the combo packages that are sold in Target and Wal Mart and put some of them into the POP sets, but also get some usable cards into it. These would range from unreleased Lv X cards such as Garchomp and Porygon Z (much like "shining" Pokemon were released in POP's 4 & 5 as well as some good trainer cards. Either reprints of currently legal, or bringing back some Trainers into the format that were rotated out.

To sum up, I think I'd like what you'd like.

Do I understand why they made the set the way it is? No. I can't possibly understand since I haven't had the reasoning shared with me and I have't sat in on any of the planning meetings.
I'm sure they're not doing it to tick off the players, though. Possibly they don't have access to all the cards that we think they should have access to.
Maybe they have plans for those cards for future releases.
I just don't know. I hope they do!
 
Oh, to be the fly on the wall when PUI comes a'callin to this LL.

That is just plain wrong. Selling a complete POP7 set on eBay before the season even starts. Do I smell bacon burning?? :rolleyes:

The real sad part is if this is a "real" league (I cant say one way or another), that the players at that league are gonna lose out big time because of this.
