I can't see why anyone would still want a PSP. Sony is doing what they always do, they make inferior products and do nothing to fix problems that arise. Am I the only one who needs to constantly get a new CD player? After the thrid one broke in a year, and Sony basically said "Too bad, buy another one" I bought a $25 Memorex brand one WITH AM/FM radio, and I have had it, still working fine for 3 1/2 years.
How can you say Nintendo doesn't care about it's customers? They replaced my malfunctioning Gamecube with a BRAND NEW ONE almost a year after the warrenty was up, AND paid for shipping! How many times has Sony done that? My PS2 is going bad after 2 years, the pin covers in the controller socket have come out with the controller, it collects dust inside the system and has a hard time reading games that are NOT scratched. I e-mailed customer service and have been waiting on a response for 3 months. I feel sooooo important now
I refuse to spend 100 more dollars on a system that is flawed by it's very design, will have no worthwile launch games and is supported by a company of people who say "So what if it's flawed, it's SONY so you jokers will still buy it so we have no reason to fix it." And that is excatly what has been said. Sony knows that because it is a PLAYSTATION sytem people will buy it. So why should they spend more to fix it? That's called greed. They don't care about the customers, only the profits, unlike NIntendo.
One of the big draws to buying a new system from Nintendo is not the launch titles, but the FUTURE TITLES. Nintendo has Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Pokemon, Starfox, Metroid, Pikmin, Animal Crossing and a host of other great and well-proven franchises that will make an apperance on almost everyone of their systems, some of them multiple times. How much longer will Sony have Final Fantasy? Square is with Nintendo now. Now what is the Playstation's draw? Tekken? Phff... I guess they will always have Sports and Racing games, but I think I would rather go X-Box for those, since it is more powerful.
Another problem with Sony's greed is their accesories. N64 set the bar with 4 controller sockets, and then PS2, the new and better system, comes out and how many does it have? TWO, the same as the old ATARI for crying out loud. Sony's answer? "Buy a $20 multi-tap adaptor"
Greed.
The fact that anyone would pay a large sum of money for a critically flawed peice of hardware with nearly no potential for good games to come is beyond me. Anyone who has a DS need only to play the Metroid: Hunters demo to see that Nintendo is bringing out the big guns, and soon.
