Joe monkey, for that comment (and your signature), you would have been instantly banned on any other forum. Unfortunately, this board isn't exactly known for punishment...

All of my comments were anti-fanboy (and, in retrospect, pro-eliteist), but I didn't go outright insulting the people who posted. MOST of the oists here at least had an opinion to offer, you, sir, are merely a troll.

The PSP is coming out in a couple of days. I told the guy at EB games about the PSP problems and he was like "im sure sony will fix the problem here, they always do" i was like "whatever man" i doubt that they will fix the problem.

Solid games? Ape Escape? :p

Srrry, I just have always found that game to be so bad.

But, yah, I saw the PSP in action today and it DOES look better than I expected, but it's still eh for me. The graphics are really good, and that's what sells unfortunately, but from what I can tell, the actually quality of the games are lacking. The controls seem a bit cramped as the screen is pretty big for a handheld, so that may be a problem. I dunno right now, I still think the DS is better, as it SO more innovative than the PSP with the touch screen: a lot of possiblities on the DS to just ports, ports, and more ports on to the PSP..

i agree, the DS so far is better with the touch screen, but the PSP has Metal Gear Solid, Ridge Racer, NFS, Midnight Club, etc. And the DS had 1 good game at the launch, XY/XX, that was decent, and a remake of a good game, that's why PSP has solid games, they actually have new games that are good

even if they are ports, the DS only had 1 new good game, XY/XX, and all those are good, Mario 64 everyone just about had already played and beaten, but for all those ports, most people don't play them all

animal crossing= EW
and ya, i do prefer DS with the games that are coming out, but as of now, DS has little and PSP has good games, but the cost for PSP is god awful

you guys probably already know this but the reasons that Nintendo isn't able to release a bunch of good games for the DS is because Nintendo's Resources are kind of stretched to the max. Let me explain.

First there is the fact Nintendo still wants to retain its hold of the handheld market and with sony coming in to it that doesn't help them very much. So thats why Nintendo created the DS to appeal to the same audience as the psp is supposedly appeals to. While at the same time Nintendo is also workin on the next gameboy advance whether that may be just an upgrade to the sp or something all-new that remains to be seen. Plus all at the same time is the home console battle where Nintendo is spending a lot of time and money in trying to up there place in the home console race. I.E the Revolution and since its something so revolutionary Nintendo is having a tough time getting developers on board. So they end having to make their own games for it so to prove to developers the revolution is a good thing. And all at the same time Nintendo still needs to support the Gamecube in order to help itself bring in the revolution when it comes and they are still supporting the gameboy advance all at the same time.

So unlike Microsoft and Sony which has a lot of money and resources to allocate into whatever they are doing nintendo doesn't for right now anyways. So give Nintedo a break guys if they don't have great games yet for the DS. You would be swamped too if you had to do everything for yourself and do it not only right but amazing. Besides The DS is getting a lot of great games coming to it in the future. Anyway if Nintendo were to release all of its best games at one time not everyone would buy them or can buy them all and after a while Nintendo would have no great games to release at a later time and DS will end up flopping. Besides did you know the DS could end up being a palmpilot too. Thats totally freaking awesome.

Well said, coolmanderzx.

I thinkits fine that they are coming out slowly with games; this way my wallet can recuperate.

Anyway, I just found out my friend is buying a PSP, even after learning of the defect. Ugh.

If only the GameFAQ's DS users could understand this...
