Hello Everyone!

I finally got the results, from the last two Saturday's, entered on the Nintendo website! I just finished! I was still having problems from home but the school computer had no set backs!

I don't have time just yet to post the standings, decks etc.. from last Saturday yet. I might be able to it tomorrow!

I haven't forgotten about doing a Rochester Draft. But the place I buy my booster boxes is still out of Dragons. Stayed tuned!

Hello Everyone!

We had 20 people playing at the Shack for the January 24, 2004 Pokemon Tournament! Once again a nice turnout! I thank everyone for coming to the Shack. Wow! We heard a lot of sirens yesterday. There was an ambulance and Fire Chief car at the hair cut place across the street, emergency vehicles just going by the Shack with their sirens blaring and then at 5:15, fire trucks rushing to the subdivision across the street for a house fire! You could see the huge billowing clouds of black smoke just rising from the house. It was only 3 or 4 house away from Auburn road! In fact when Matt T and I left at 7:00 we could still see the lights from the fire trucks flashing in the dark night sky!

O.K. I didn’t have a chance to write down decks yesterday so I will need help filling them in for everyone who played. If I put the wrong description or if you know what somebody had please post and I will edit the list!

Congratulations to Sean! His deck was the talk of the day. He kept top deck for most of the afternoon and all during the top 8. He had 4 Ralts, 4 Kirlia, 3 Gardevoir and 2 Gardevoir EX with NO Rare Candies! Eric made a change to his Muk EX deck but I believe he is going to change it back. The Amphys are really taking hold at the Shack as well. I think I need to tech something into my Blazekin deck to counter. I’m not sure what to tech into the Wailord.

News for the Shack!

We are playing this Saturday January 31, 2004 at the Shack! However, on February 7 we cannot use the building. It has already been booked for a previous engagement! Sean’s dad and I are looking into playing at Spencer Park for the 7th. But, its looking like we won’t be playing on February 7th.

Stay tuned for further details.



Michigan has the City Championships coming up on February 21 in Garden City. I have off from school Thursday February 19 and Friday February 20. If Sean’s dad can reserve the Shack on either the 19th or 20th would anybody like to come to practice and tweak their decks?

I am not going to run a tournament, a booster draft or any other kind of tournament that day. I would also like to discourage any Game Cubes for this day.

I will bring commons, uncommons, rares (that I can spare) and trainers to help players get their decks ready and play-test for Garden City. I would be willing to come on ONE of those days not both. I have to do grad-school work on the other day. The time wouldn’t matter to me, I would get there as soon as everyone wanted and stay until everyone left.

What do you think? What day would be better, Thursday the 19th or Friday the 20th?
 
A Friday night thing the day before the CC sounds extremely intresting. The friday would work much better for me tho seeing how our Mid Winter break is the week before:(. If it were the friday i would definitley try to attend tho.

Yeah i been dead with the internet thing lately so im catching up on t5 decks, dates, and whatnot. But that sounds fun on that friday. Amphy is truly a great deck and it's running wild at the shack. Though mine is the best ;). so whos all goin to the garden city one?? o sorry aj tough luck... foisy told me about your final.

It's looking more and more that we will not have a place to play on February 7. But, we will be back on February 14, Valentine's Day.

We are sanctioned for this Saturday's tournament on the 28th!
I have a couple of very unproven decks to try for play testing! Actually, I've only written a deck list for both. I have to find time and the cards to put the decks together before Saturday.

We will not meet on March 6 or 13 due to most of the players heading to the Pre-Releases those weekends. March 6 La Grange, Indiana, March 13 Garden City, Michigan!

Annisarich, remind me on Saturday, but I have something in my bag that Mitchell left behind!

Remember NO TOURNAMENTS on Saturday March 6 and on Saturday March 13. Most of the group is going to La Grange next Saturday and the following week is Garden City!

Congratulations to A.J. for winning yesterday! He went 9-0 for the day, 6-0 for swiss and 3-0 for top 8! BAR with Blazekin EX went head to head in the finals of the top 8.

I might have something to counter BAR next weekend. We will find out next Saturday. Oh! By the way, we are playing next Saturday at the Shack from 11-4 PM. I have to leave between 5 and 5:30 PM next Saturday. I have to be in Lake Orion by 7:00 PM.

Hello All,

We are playing this Saturday at the Shack 11AM - 4PM. There will be the standard 5-6 swiss rounds then top 8!

Just a reminder that everyone has to be gone between 5:00 - 5:15 PM. I have to be in Lake Orion and now the time has changed to 6:30 PM.
