Salamence ex - G&G/Magmortar counter

We played a match. G1: He scoops when T3 Im beating face in with a Blaziken GE that has 4 Energy on it. G2: I end up taking 5 prizes, but when I have 3 prizes left, theyre: Mag Mag Delcatty. Nice? I already used a Maintenance too. if I had one of the two mags, I think I oculd have one. he beat me with 1 prize left. G3: I swept. I beat him, he had 5 prizes left. Can you still say mag loses to sally?

GGs though.
 
Neither deck has a huge upper hand in this matchup I think. I am a big believer in Magmortar, but I understand it has weaknesses and can be beaten. This deck is not a good matchup for it, but I don't think it is huge in Salamence's favor either. That's why I'm a little lukewarm on this Salamence deck. I think there are other matchups that can give you 50/50 against Magmortar but a better shot against the field than this deck would.

yes i can, please explain to me how I run 14 supporters and have like 7 turns of supporter drought? It's simply bad draw against amazing draw.

Game 3 you have like T3 Magmortar, Delcatty, Blaziken Firestarter, T4 Blaziken GE, Magmortar on bench Mag lv. x active.

How many times does that actually happen? Not as often as it happens to this guy on RS, it must like you.
 
Sorry sir, but even with your supporters, you would have lost. Sniping > You. I have Bazooka, Volcanic Ash, and Flame Bluster. Its honestly too much for sally. The sniping owns ;/ Even with 4 beach I was fine.
 
Try Dugtrio CG. It will help ALOT. It might actually make it decent. If I couldnt snipe, I'd have lost for sure.

dude, you act like you murdered me all 3 games. The game I got my stuff set up I beat you. The first game kind of didn't count. You have to admit you had a god set up:

T2 Delcatty, T2 Blaziken Firestarter, T2 Combusken with 2 energy

T3 Magmortar, T3 Blaziken GE with 4 energy

how often does that happen?

I'm not against Magmortar, heck I might even play it at WI States. I'm just saying those starts don't always happen.

In game 3 had i had 1 more turn with my Fearow or an early supporter it would have been a very interesting game. I played Steven's and this is what i got:

HOLY BALONEY! It's like an epic battle of Salamence vs. Magmortar. Look guys, neither deck is better than the other, Mag will beat Sally and Sally will beat Mag. There is alot to consider other than the deck it's self. getting Prize owned, not drawing anything, not even setting up, etc. Anyway, can we just get along and be friends? ;D
 
didn't think so. But anyway, hopefully we can agree that it is about a 50/50 matchup. I wasn't trying to prove that salamence would beat Mag all the time, i was just trying to show you people that Salamence CAN beat Mag like some people said it never could >.>
 
I'd say Its 60-40 in Mags favor, but the it depends on the list. With Blaze: 65-35. Without: Like 55-45, maybe 50-50.
 
hmm, how does Blaziken make the deck better than a normal Mag deck, and this time im not being sarcastic, i really wanna know, and PK Blaze or GE Blaze?
 
another option could be Sally (SW) with Togekiss.

But you will only KO 1 time and have to wait 2 more turn (If... sally SW is not dead YET) to hit for another 100.
 
@lolzorz : How can you judge a deck and his matchups in only three matches ? Is this a joke ? Return on Apprentice and play 50 more matches, we'll maybe be able to know if Sally beats Mag or not.
 
Lolzorz, didn't you say (In the Flygon ex threaad) people that plays Altaria ex in their Sally decks are noobs?
 
Magmortar still 2HKOs your Sallys, sally have a -30 Resistance but Magmortar have time to load energys (like 5) and 2HKO your Sally, then it will take like 2 Prizes from your Bench (Altaria ex) and Magmortar is almos winned...
