you may also want to play some warp energies instead of the switches

Believe me, it would be a lot simpler that way and we wouldn't have to worry about locks. But this deck is mainly meant for next year's format, and Switches have a lot of longevity.

What about the possible early HS-On rotation? That would make you have to take out the 4 Spiritomb, 2 Bebe's Search, and 2 Expert Belt, leaving you with 8 extra cards...

I've been trying it with swarm style/speed. With the help of Beedrill RR.

Nothing more than a skeleton build w/out tomb(testing)

4/2/4 Serperior heal
2/2 Cherrim
2/1/2 Beedrill RR
2 Uxie
1 Uxiie X
2 Unown Q
1 Azelf
1 Smeargle
...26

Can't give everything away, but its literally a BASIC build.

I considered Cherrim for a while too, but eventualy decided that 1 per turn wasn't much. Also, as I've mentioned multiple times before, this is a deck intended for the future, which means we can't add stuff from DP to early Platinum and call it a deck for the ages.

I agree, what would you do, if you wanted this to be HG/SS-ON? i want to start testing that deck now.

wow.. just noticed the Serperior with Leaf Storm (heals 20 damage to all leaf pokemon) has NO retreat cost! wow nice

Well take out Spiritomb and Exbelt and add PLuspowers and good setup stuff.

Sableye isn't that good in this deck, truthfully. You wanna setup. As fast as possible with this deck, then tank it. If you pull that off, you win every matchup, easily.

Until Emboar hits the field and OHKOs your Serperiors.

We can still knock out a few Basics and Stage 2's while we're at it. And if we can't beat emboar, so be it. There's no such thing as a deck that beats them all. Luxray loses to KGL all the time. (Or something.) If it can fare well against most other HGSS-on decks, that's all that matters. Emboar will have it's own counters.

Hrm... what about Smeargle?

Smeargle is good, but it "demands" retreat as it just sits there on the bench and is only active for the Power.

Metapod's Poke-Body is a good-enough defense against Emboar, and since Royal Heal Serperior can rearrange Energy, it's safe to pass his strength on to the next attacker.

But facing down an Emboar on Turn 2 is probably game...

i found this very interesting :) and i've been having fun making decks with the new rotation
but what if you're against emboar... and caterpie or metapod gets prized? =( auto loss?

possibly consider a rotom and alph lithograph?
it'll hurt the speed though
or maybe a 2-2 metapod line

Hi,
I have been thinking about serperior for a while but I fail to see the benefit of not using 4 royal heal ones.
If you heal for 20 with your attack, everything but reuniclus, that's fine but if you have a royal heal instead you will heal 10 when it goes to your opponent then 10 again when it comes back to you making it the same 20 as well and affecting reuniclus and move your energy around if needs be.

Granted 10 of these damage comes after your opponent next attack but it should not be a problem. Working from the bench and healing reuniclus outweigh that little drawback imo.
I also have only been thinking about it in a HGSS-on format.

Renuiclus is only there to move the damage. You see, I can just move the damage off of him and onto another Grass type. That way I can just heal it off with a Leaf Storm. If I set the damage correctly, I should be able to remove at least 40 damage from each of my guys a turn. That, is pretty significant.

Smeargle has more HP and isn't a bad starter if you're going for setup. It relies quite a bit on chance, but it's all I can think of.
