Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Single Pokémon Sets - Master List

Archonn said:
....you're just missing general reservation rules...

You mean this?
Remember that you have total ownership of your set, so it's up to you to manage reservations and card quality.

If this is the case, then I say to all: feel free to do any of the cards that still need to be done, since that your Kabutops looks like a Kabutops.......

Anyway, let's make another one ......

Kabutops δ (G)(M) - 100 HP
Stage 2 Pokémon - Evolves from Kabuto
This Pokémon is both (G) and (M) type.

(GC) Life-draining Slash 20
Remove a number of damage counters from Kabutops equal to the damage done to the Defending Pokémon.

(MCC) Delta Swipe 50
Flip a coin. If heads, all damage done by Kabutops's attacks to the Defending Pokémon during your next turn is increased by 40 (before applying Weakness and Resistance.

Weakness: (G)
Resistance: None
Retreat Cost: (CC)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

This set's situation:

Kabutops set:
Pokémon
Kabutops
Kabutops ex
Kabutops *
Kabutops δ (made by me)
Kabutops (Crystal)
Dark Kabutops
Light Kabutops
Water Adept's Über Kabutops (made by me)
Brock's Kabutops
Bruno's Kabutops
Roxanne's Kabutops

Trainers
Sharp Claw - Pokémon Tool (reserved to me)
Unknown Fossil - Trainer Card (reserved to me)
Pre-Historic Cave - Stadium (reserved to me)

Special
Mass Ressurection (Supporter) (made by me)

I want to do the trainers, so this leave 9 Kabutops left...... if anyone want to do any of them, go ahead and reserve/do it....

Well.... I guess this is it.... for now....

puyallup_phantom: You see, since Family's Tear makes Temperamental Weather ignore turn restrictions (like the expression "Once during your turn..."), it means you can use the Poké-Power even if it isn't your turn; that is, during your attack. There's even an condition in Family's Tear that triggers if you use Temperamental Weather this way (notice that the wording is "you may use the Temperamental Weather Poké-Power regardless of restrictions concerning turns. If you do, you may perform an attack with this Pokémon."), the very condition that lets you attack with the new castform without losing a turn. Yes, i know it is poorly worded, but it was the best way i found to word it.

I still have a couple worries about the attack. The first is that right at the beginning of the attack it says that the effect lasts "Until the end of your turn," which means the attack's effect never really would take place because of your turn ending immidiately after you attack. Also, I don't like the idea of being able to attack during your opponents turn. This attack seems way too broken for just a Colorless energy and a Basic Pokemon.

Anyways, here's another new card:

Phantom's Technical Machine 351
Trainer (Technical Machine)

Attach this card to 1 of your Pokemon with Castform in its name, or any Pokemon belonging to Allen or Fish in play. That Pokemon may use this card's attack instead of its own. At the end of your turn, discard Phantom's Technical Machine 351.

(WRC) Tempermental Flux 10x

This attack does 10 damage times the number of Pokemon in play with Castform in their name. Then draw a number of cards equal to the number of Pokemon you have in play with Castform in their name.

(Requirement for playing the card was changed to allow use on any Pokemon that belongs to me or my friend, since the TM has my user name in its title)

Storm Chaser
Trainer (Supporter)

You can play only one Supporter card each turn. When you play this card, put it next to your Active Pokemon. When your turn ends, discard this card.

Discard 2 cards from your hand in order to use this card. Search your deck for up to 3 Basic Pokemon, and up to 3 different types of Basic Energy.

Picture: From the inside of a house's window, the man from the Holon Adventurer card is looking out a window at an open field, where a thunderstorm is currently in progress. We don't see the adventurer directly, but in the window, we see the reflection of both him and a Rain Castform.

Castform (δ Delta Species) (F) 60 HP
Basic Pokemon

Poke-Power: Tempermental Weather: Once during your turn (before your attack), you may search your deck for Sunny Castform, Rain Castform, or Snow-cloud Castform and switch it with Castform. (Any cards attached to Castform, damage counters, Special Conditions, and effects on it are now on the new Pokemon.) Shuffle Castform back into your deck. You can't use more than 1 Tempermental Weather Poke-Power each turn.

(F) Weather Draw Draw a card. If there is a Stadium Card in play, draw 2 more cards.

(FFC) Dust Tornado 30+ If Sea of Sand is in play, flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 30 damage, plus 20 more damage. If tails, this attack does 30 damage, and place 1 damage counter on each of your opponent's Benched Pokemon.

Weakness: (F)
Retreat Cost: (C)

I am also reserving the Crystal Type Castform, and the Castform ex for myself.

puyallup_phantom: Oops, i hadn't noticed that. Oh well. Anyway, just changing "Until the end of your turn" to "Until damage counters are placed by the Poison Special Condition" (which is the very first thing that happens in the between turns phase) solves both issues you're pointing. This way, the attack's effect ends when it should end (after your attack), and you don't get to attack after your turn is officially over (but you still get to attack with the new castform that comes in play with Family's Tear (actually because of Temperamental Weather, but you get the idea)).

Now i finally entered winter vacation (although here you can't even notice it is winter), i'll have a lot more of free time. Expect more cards from me!

-------------------
Falkner's Ditto // HP: 50 // Type: (C)
Basic Pokémon

Poké-Body: Sky Trail -- Whenever an Energy card is discarded to pay Retreat Costs, or a Trainer card makes an Active Pokémon become Benched, put a Feather counter on Falkner's Ditto. Energies attached to Falkner's Ditto provide all kinds of energies, but only 1 at a time.
Poké-Power: Blessing of the Wings -- As often as you like, during your turn, you may choose a Pokémon in play with a Feather counter, if any. Treat Falkner's Ditto as a copy of that card, except it can't evolve, and it still has the Sky Trail Poké-Body and the Blessing of the Wings Poké-Power. This power stops working if Falkner's Ditto is affected by a Special Condition.
(C)(C) Overfloat -- Base Damage: 10 -- You may return Falkner's Ditto to your hand. If you do, move any Feather counters on it to other Pokémon in play in any way you like.

Weakness: (F) // Resistance: None // Retreat Cost: (C)
-------------------
Jasmine's Ditto // HP: 50 // Type: (C)
Basic Pokémon

Poké-Power: Weapon Form -- Once during your turn, if Jasmine's Ditto has a (M) Energy attached to it, you may choose an attack in a Pokémon card in play. If you do, set Jasmine's Ditto, all the counters it has on it, and all cards attached to it aside, and choose 1 of your Pokémon in play. The Pokémon chosen this way has a copy of the attack chosen this way, and any energies attached to that Pokémon provide all kinds of energies, but only one at a time. If the chosen Pokémon leaves play, put Jasmine's Ditto in your Bench. If you don't, discard Jasmine's Ditto and all cards attached to it (This doesn't count as a Knock Out.). This power stops working if Jasmine's Ditto is affected by a Special Condition.
(C) Metallize -- Base Damage: 0 -- Flip a coin. If heads, prevent all effects of attacks, including damage, done to Jasmine's Ditto during your opponent's next turn.

Weakness: (F) // Resistance: None // Retreat Cost: (C)
-------------------

Reserving Bruno's Kabutops.

.....FINALLY VACATION TOO! (but I guess it won't help to increase the time I stay here, but anyway....)

The trainers:

Sharp Claw - Pokémon Tool

Attach Sharp Claw to 1 of your Pokémon with Kabutops in its name that doesn't already have a Pokémon Tool attached to it.

All damage done by this Pokémon's attacks is increased by 10 (after applying Weakness and Resistance).

------------------------------------------------------------
Unknown Fossil - Trainer

Flip a coin. If heads, play Armaldo, Cradily, Kabutops and Omastar from your hand directly into its respective Fossil card (skipping its Stage 1 card).

Need help on this one..... I guess it can be better......
-----------------------------------------------------------
Pre-Historic Cave - Stadium

This card stays in play when you play it. Discard this card if another Stadium card comes into play.

All damage done by attacks to Aerodactyl, Anorith, Armaldo, Lileep, Cradily, Kabuto, Kabutops, Omanyte or Omastar (both yours and your opponent's) is reduced by 10 (after appying Weakness and Resistance).

Yay! Nice to see my Über mechanic being used.
...

Crap. Porygon was done... I'll think about doing some stuff for this set. I just don't have much time these days with work and all... >.<

Yay! Nice to see my Über mechanic being used.

BTW, when you started the Über Contest I was going to join, and after some time thinking about what to do (I was going to enter with a Suicune... ), when I enter the topic.... IT WAS OVER!!!! :frown:

Well.... better luck next time, I guess.....

I won't do the Kabutops ex now.... my brain begs for a rest...... tomorrow.... who knows?

That's it for to....day......... (head hits the keyboard)

Water Adept: Even vacation isn't able to increase your time around here? I guess you're pretty busy, aren't you? Anyway, back on topic, i'd say you need to choose a single post, and then update your setlist in that post. It helps because that way people can always check the same post whenever someone wants to see the set's progress.

MegaVelocibot: There's always Porygon2, but my memory says you aren't too fond of it... Either way, with 381 pokémons remaining, i'm sure you're going to find one good for you. Oh, and about usage of more unknown mechanics, like Über... this is one of the motives i started this project! Expect lots of them in future sets.

-------------------
Bruno's Kabutops // HP: 90 // Type: (F)
Stage 2 Pokémon -- Evolves from Bruno's Kabuto

Poké-Power: Elite Resilience -- Once during your turn, you may discard an Energy card from Bruno's Kabutops. If you do, then until the end of your next turn (after you attack), if Bruno's Kabutops would be Knocked Out, it is Knocked Out at the end of your next turn instead (after you attack). This power stops working if Bruno's Kabutops is affected by a Special Condition.
(F)(C) Rock Scythe -- Base Damage: 30 -- The Defending Pokémon can't retreat during your opponent's next turn.
(F)(F)(F) Warrior's Pride -- Base Damage: 0 -- Choose any of your opponent's Pokémon (You may choose any number of them.). If the number of damage counters on Bruno's Kabutops, times 10, exceeds the combined Base HP of all of the chosen Pokémon, Knock Out them. If you draw 2 or more Prizes this way, discard Bruno's Kabutops and all cards attached to it, then your opponent draws a Prize.

Weakness: (G) // Resistance: None // Retreat Cost: (C)(C)
Author's Note: I'm actually very unsure of this card's brokeness level, but i liked it so i posted it. Any thoughts?
-------------------

EDIT: Corrected some misspellings on the stage line. And a misplaced minus symbol, too.

Porygon2 is complied from the darkest scum of programming and squeaky toy technology ever to be wrought on this planet of ours.

Also... the Unown set may be only 11 cards, not more, yes? Just out of curiousity.

MegaVelocibot: 15 cards, if you count the three trainers and the card of your choice. If you're talking Pokémon only, then yes, only 11; but one thing you may do is changing the "other" card into the twelfth Unown. Yes, i know Unown sets usually have all the 26 Unowns, plus ! and ? Unown, but i think all sets should have some regularity... But wait, there are two ways. First way is making 28 different sets, each having a Unown as its fifteenth card. Second way is to make each card in the Unown set a Pokémon Duo (except for one, who must be a normal unown, without preffixes and suffixes). Then, make all Trainer cards have a second half, which has a Unown in it. That'll give 1 normal Unown, plus 10x2 unowns duo, plus 3 unowns in the trainers, plus 2 unowns from making the fifteenth card a duo unown. That's exactly 26 unowns. Of course, that's only if you are desesperate for having a 26 unown set, but imho, there's no real need for so many of them. Don't you think it'll be a good challenge selecting your favourite 11 Unowns?

...Even vacation isn't able to increase your time around here? I guess you're pretty busy, aren't you?

Since my PC is broken (almost everything is screwed up... ), I have to use the ones from University and from my job.... and my job doesn't always allow me to stay online for a large amount of time....

Archonn said:

It's already done, boss XD.......

Archonn said:

Well.... the second attack kinda confuse me.... if you have 8 counters on it and choose all of the opponent's Pokémon, does it KO everything? BTW, Kabutops is a Stage 2 Pokémon, not a Stage 1.... and put that it evolves from Bruno's Kabuto (yeah, my next set will be Kabuto....)

And now Kabutops ex:

Kabutops ex (F) - 150 HP
Stage 2 Pokémon - Evolves from Kabuto
When Pokémon-ex has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

(FCC) Deep Cut 50
Flip a coin. If heads, put a Cut counter on the Defending Pokémon. (ignore this effect if the Defending Pokémon already have a Cut counter on it). All of the opponent's Pokémon with a Cut counter on them can't have their damage counters removed. When Kabutops ex is Knocked Out, remove all Cut counters from your opponent's Pokémon.

(FCCC) Dual Cut 60X
Flip 2 coins. This attack does 60 damage times the number of heads.

Weakness: (G)(L)
Resistance: None
Retreat Cost: (CCC)
---------------------------------------------------
I guess it got some brokeness.....

Reserving Dark and Light Kabutops

That's it.

Water Adept: I've already corrected the errors you mentioned. About the second attack... Knocking out depends if the pokémons are weak enough. If Kabutops has 8 damage counters, the combined base Hp of the targets of the attack (you can choose any number of pokémons, provided they are your opponent's) must be 70 or lower. Of course, with usage of Elite Resilience, you can put more damage counters in it, allowing you to knock out pokémons with more hp. Sure, it probably isn't going to kill any big pokémon this way, but that's why it has good ol' Rock Scythe.

With these cards, all that's left of my set is Ditto EX!

-------------------
Whitney's Ditto // HP: 50 // Type: (C)
Basic Pokémon

Poké-Body: Top Model -- While in play, treat Whitney's Ditto as if it was a copy of the Pokémon card with the higest Base HP out of all Pokémon cards in play (you choose if it is a tie), except it can't evolve, and it still has the Top Model Poké-Body. Energies attached to Whitney's Ditto provide all kinds of energies, but only one at a time.
(C)(C) Nice Tackle -- Base Damage: 20 -- Remove a damage counter from play.

Weakness: (F) // Resistance: None // Retreat Cost: (C)
-------------------
Doppelganger
Trainer Card
Choose a Pokémon or Supporter card in a Discard Pile. Place that card aside, then shuffle Doppelganger into your deck. If there is already a card placed aside by a card titled Doppelganger before playing this card, you may instead play this card as a copy of the card placed aside. If Doppelganger came into play this way, place the card it is copying into its respective Discard Pile if Doppelganger leaves play.
-------------------
Why?
Trainer Card
For the rest of the game, if your opponent draws a Prize, he or she must reveal it to you, and if he or she attaches an Energy card to a Benched Pokémon, he or she must reveal his or her hand to you. If this isn't the first time you play a card titled "Why?" this game, draw a card.
-------------------

If you can't understand Doppelganger, let me know.

Getting Pwned By a Charizard

Special:
Planet Charizard

Let's Start:

Getting Pwned By a Charizard (Trainer)

If your Active Pokémon has Charizard in it's name, the Defending Pokémon is now knocked out. If you would draw more than one prize in this way, just draw one prize.

ensignmerlin: Congrats on finishing your set, man. But i guess you got a bit carried over... you already did a Porygons XD...

Charizardian: Nice set (even if i'm not fond of the "pwned" word), the only thing you're missing are general reservation rules.

-------------------
Ditto ex // HP: 90 // Type: (C)
Basic Pokémon

[Pokémon-ex Rule: When Pokémon-ex has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.]

Poké-Body: More Than Perfect Transform-- If Ditto ex is your Active Pokémon, treat it as if it were the same card as the Defending Pokémon (you choose if there's more than one), except Ditto ex can’t evolve, has 30 more Base HP than the card it copies, always has this Poké-Body, is always a Pokémon-ex, and you may treat any Energy attached to Ditto ex as Energy of any type. If Ditto ex is your Active Pokémon and it has at least 1 Energy card attached to it, when your turn ends (after you attack) put a damage counter on the Defending Pokémon.

Weakness: (F) // Resistance: None // Retreat Cost: (C)
Author's Note: Not really original if compared to the other dittos, and i'm not too sure of brokeness scale for an ex, but i like it.
-------------------

And that's it! Next time i'll try to work on the other people's sets (So far, Kabutops, Castform, and Charizard if Charizardian allows). I also need to solve the issues with tonio's Aerodactyl set (i hope he corrects it soon).

Oops... forgot about that one. Oh well... I bring you..

Electronic Trinity
TRAINER(Trinity)

This card cannot be played unless you have Virtual Porygon, Virus Porygon, and Antivirus Porygon in play.

Your opponent draws cards equal to the number of cards in his or her hand. Then, your opponent discards his or her hand. Your opponent then shuffles his or her deck and draws 7 cards. Shuffle your opponent's deck afterwards. If you have exactly 3 prize cards left you may search your deck for up to three cards and put them into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterwards.

Rather odd card isn't it?

Sorry for vanishing into thin air, blame Dreamcast for sucking me out of the computer... anyway i'm back, at least for now.

Charizardian: Hey, cool you're letting me do cards... but what about the others? All i'm asking you to do is to put a "Anyone may do any cards in my set." line in your post with the set, or a "You must ask permission before reserving/doing a card in my set." line in your post with the set, or something like that, it's your choice on how you're going to handle reserving.

ensignmerlin: Your set is one pokémon short, plus, there's no reservation rules (but i assume that, since you're reserving some cards for yourself, you're opening cardmaking for everyone else too). Oh, and a tip; in the setlist, bold any cardname that's done, that way you'll avoid duplicates like the two Porygon XD in your last set.

-------------------
Flannery's Castform // HP: 70 // Type: (R)
Basic Pokémon

Poké-Power: Temperamental Weather -- Once during your turn, (before your attack), you may search your deck for Castform, Sunny Castform, Rain Castform, or Snow-cloud Castform and switch it with Flannery's Castform. (Any cards attached to Flannery's Castform, damage counters, Special Conditions and effects on it are now on the new Pokémon.) Shuffle Flannery's Castform back into your deck. You can't use more than 1 Temperamental Weather Poké-Power each turn.
(R) Volcanic Aid -- Base Damage: 10 -- If a Stadium card with Flannery or Lavaridge in its name is in play, you may search your deck for a basic (R) Energy card and attach it to 1 of your Pokémons in play. If you do, shuffle your deck afterwards.
(R)(R)(C) Setting Sun -- Base Damage: 30 -- The Defending Pokémon is now Burned. Choose any number of Energy cards in your Discard Pile. Shuffle any card chosen this way in your deck.

Weakness: (W) // Resistance: None // Retreat Cost: (C)(C)
-------------------
Kabutops // HP: 80 // Type: (F)
Stage 2 Pokémon -- Evolves from Kabuto

(C)(C) Head Defense -- Base Damage: 20 -- During your opponent's next turn, Kabutops can't be affected by Sleeping, Paralyzed, or Confused Special Conditions.
(F)(W)(C) Pressurized Slice -- Base Damage: 70+- -- This attack does 40 damage minus 10 damage for each damage counter on Kabutops, plus 10 more damage for each (W) Energy attached to Kabutops but not used to pay this attack's energy cost.

Weakness: (G) // Resistance: None // Retreat Cost: (C)(C)
-------------------
Charizard * // HP: 70 // Type: (R)
Basic Pokémon

[Pokémon-* Rule: You can't have more than 1 Pokémon-* in your deck.]

(R) Supernova -- Base Damage: 10 -- Put 1 Burnt counter in all Energy cards attached to your Pokémons. A Energy card with a Burnt counter in it has the following text instead of its own: "This card provides (R)."
(R)(R)(R) Flare Star -- Base Damage: 20x -- This attack does 20 damage times the Defending Pokémon's Stage number plus 1, times the modulus of the difference between your number of remaining Prize cards and your opponent's number of remaining Prize cards (if this modulus would be 0, change it to 1 instead). If this attack does more than 40 damage and you have less prize cards remaining than your opponent, Knock Out Charizard * afterwards.

Weakness: (W) // Resistance: None // Retreat Cost: (C)
Author's Note: Flare Star is a reference to Final Fantasy 6. I didn't want to include modulus in the grammar, but i can't think on a better way to word it. If you don't understand it, just ask.
-------------------
Misty's Eevee // HP: 50 // Type: (C)
