Okay, I am not gonna take sides, but I do have a few comments to say. First off, if you post anything on the internet, there is a good chance it is gonna spread, whether you meant to have it that way or not. You cant control everyone, as much as any one person would like too. However, on the same point they should really respect you wishes and they should ask you for permission, however, I have a problem with this also. While it is decent of you to do this for us, I really feel that you do take things too sensitive. I mean first off, I am not gonna complain about things getting released early, however, I am not gonna say it is the right thing to do. But to say people cant use the scans, imo is a bit unfair as while they are on you site, you dont own the picture's license. I mean I can see you getting upset doing all the work, but in the end you really cant control what people do when you post it online.

...lol. You're one to talk. I doubt PUI likes how you go and post up things that the public shouldn't know until the day of the PR. Such as english scans, the pr card or what's on the sleeves.

PUI has had to put up with 'stealing business' from you and your source, longer than you've had to put up with it from pokegym.

I'm probably just going to look ignorant for saying this. Oh well.
 
Are the cards not copyrighted by Nintendo? Who's information is this then? At a time when Pokemon is growing we should all be grateful about the buzz created with the new sets coming out. Generally I would think most of us use more than one site to collect our info and discuss that information in other formats. Good for the game as it creates more buzz. To say that once we find information we can't share it or discuss it anywhere but the forum or site we found those tidbits on is kind of silly. I was surprised at the beach for doing it the way they did like LFF was.
The only reason not to discuss any information is if you are breaking a copyright or infringing on copyrighted material. I don't think the beach could copyright any card scans. Maybe they could do their content in a general format but my point is how can anybody say it's their information to protect when Nintendo owns the copyright?

Nothing needs to be worked out with Pokebeach regarding translations.
They are bangiras' translations.
When she is ready to post them on here in complete form, we will be happy to host them.

Last time I checked, PUI owns the rights over these cards UNTIL they are released to the public! That doesnt happen until the PRs. I'd love to know your source so that they can be cut out of PTCG completely!! IF they are part of the PTO community, they should have their contracts yanked ASAP. Yes, that would hurt players in their area, but they brought in onto themselves. IF the source is elsewhere, it needs to be plugged. NO ONE, and I mean that, should be posting these scans before the release date. IF WPM had any morals (like this site....someone deleted the thread w/ the scans), he wouldnt post this info!! PUI has asked you to not post these scans, correct?? (Meaning all scans you receive prior to PRs) I know they have asked for your source and you may have provided an email account. You can do better than that. Any Tom, Dick or Harry can set up an email account. Dont wimp out and say you dont ACTUALLY know who sends you these scans.

there not sources tehre translations, a person translates them from a normally tiny image and gives them to there freinds. if you have a problem with it learn japanese and translate your own. until then i like others will keep my discusions of those cards on there sight. anything else is just rude

Latest word from my friend Nanimonoka is that he will buy his DP4 displays tomorrow (on the release date) and do a bit of translating himself. :) He is very busy these days, but if he gets the time I'm sure he'll share his translations on the Pokegym.

If anyone on the Pokegym has a card they can't wait to get translated, just request it here on the Pokegym and I'll be happy to do a 90 % accurate translation of it. (Not like the messy translations I did of Cresselia and the Eeevelutions a while back - those translations were low-quality because the resolution of the cards was so small that I couldn't read even half of the text that was written on them, and was mostly guessing).
 
All I know is when I first log online, I check my my$pace. Then I check pokebeach. Then I check pokegym in order to talk about what information has been released on pokebeach. Pokebeach to me, is the premiere site for card translations. If anything appears on the gym, as far as translations go, i know it most likely originated from pokebeach anyway. I don't need someone to put pokebeach in citation. To me the beach gives good news but I must say I was shocked and unbelievably disappointed when I found that WPM limited the translations to his forum viewers. I am going to be blunt, the pokebeach forums consist of the most narrow-minded and "childish" pokemon players I have ever seen. To prevent members of the gym from discussing card translations that realistically don't even BELONG to pokebeach is absurd. If you don't want anyone "stealing" from your site then, dont post anything at all. WPM makes it seem like we don't appreciate what he posts. We do, and if he can't see past the fact that information spreads it is then, he needs to reevaluate his outlook on this situation. Then he posts on here and says "Oh now I am glad because I can post more cards exclusively for beach members." That displays juvenile. I had to take 5 minutes out of my day to register on the beach just to look at card translations? Puh-Lease!

i thought beach would start getting more cards translated/scans posted now that the thread was deleted. i feel like a dog. my owner keeps waving a bone in front of me, and as i lunge my hairy head toward the bone he pulls it away.
 
Regarding the pre-release scans: PUI has never asked me anything other than where I get the info from. Even in real life. I gave them the e-mail of the person who gives them to me, since that's the only way I get them. I guess they don't even care, since I never got a reply when I told Mike L. I think they don't care because it promotes going to pre-releases.

And you can say it's immoral about posting the scans early, but in actuality, all it is is translated images of cards we have known about for months. It does not hurt business, but promotes it. PUI even posts images early. You guys act like it's a bad thing, but you all indulge in them when they are released. The stats prove it.

I am glad PokePop agrees with the translation thing. That is the important point (at least to me). What I restrict to my site is my business, and until you guys run a large website and have to deal with craziness and stealing and evil people everyday, you don't have the right to say I am "this" and "that" (well, you do, but it's not nice since you don't know the whole story!). You do not understand what webmasters have to go through, and you should be a little more forgiving, especially since I am "done" with the situation and you should be too. I am a human, and I do not conduct myself well all the time - when it comes to issues I have to deal with ALL THE TIME, with some stupidity thrown it, it gets a wee bit aggravating.

That is the funniest thing ever (Seriously this site has lower morals then any other site out there).
WPM works hard to provide the bet Pokemon TCG site with new info and you people show nothing to prove you have morals by posting it here.

WPM> its your site so it is up to you if you want to keep posting translations or not. People who are giving you grief about not posting any more translations are crazy. And the people who are giving you grief for posting any translations at all before the cards are released, are even more nuts the the first guys if you ask me.


Tego I would appreciate it if you could post the translations for the Legendary Birds for me. Thanks
