Yes, this is going to be Hawai'i's first states. I talked to our PTO and he said he had to get special permision to run it on a Sunday. Don't know why he needed to get it on Sunday, but I'm just happy we're going to have a states. :thumb:

Well, it's not like players will be traveling to other states to take advantage of the off day!

"Dude, I think I'm going to Alaska and Midway for S/P/T's"
"Oh, seriously? I hear they've got some stiff competition"
"Yeah, I know. I'm going to have to miss Hawaii, though"
"Nah, man, don't worry. Hawaii's on Sunday"

^^ Maybe that's why?

up 25% from last year.Kinda dissapoointing that Mississippi only sent 5 players and only 6 juniors. We have lots of juniors in LA, what happened?

I would've come from MS, too, but I didn't have a ride down there.

Can I get the PTOs or Head Judges to confirm the following states for me? Thx!

Iowa: 10 / 7 / 9 = 26
Nevada: 11 / 19 / 83 = 113 (Sry, Duke, I'm not sure if you were the HJ or PTO for this one)
Ontario: 26 / 32 / 87 = 145 (The OP site has 27/31/87, I want to doublecheck that one, and I'm not sure if LLX is the HJ or PTO)
Indiana: 12 / 33 / 97 = 142 (Same thing as Duke for you, EP)
Oregon: 72 / 73 / 165 = 310 (OP has 163 Mas, and same thing as Duke and EP for you, DS20)

I've also pulled the following from the OP site, and I want to make sure they're correct before putting them into the list:

Oklahoma: 13 / 29 / 62 = 104
New Hampshire: 13 / 30 / 55 = 98
Delaware: 12 / 26 / 65 = 103
Idaho: 20 / 25 / 34 = 79
New Jersey: 16 / 22 / 61 = 99

Thx again for everybody's help!

I'll comment a little bit more when I get some of these attendance numbers confirmed. Like last year, the events are ordered by their percentage of growth, not by their raw attendance.

Weeelll.... if Washington States swiss ends by 7:00 pm like Oregon did. and as the tournement is in Seattle this year (for the 1st time ever) and it is only 20 minutes away from the Sea-tac Airport we should be able to clear security and all to catch a 8:30 pm flight to Hawaii. We can sleep durring the 6 hour flight, coupled with the 3 hours of time we gain for flying to an earlier time zone..... we should have enough time to check into a hotel and make it in time for registration for Hawaii states...... yea its doable _ LOL
