158 in Missouri! I think that is up 45% from last year (109)!

This with Kansas pulling 120+ and Illinois pulling 150+

Wow.

I am amazed by the numbers in the big states, Florida, California, Oregon WOW...

But how cool is it this year where we consider 70 a SMALL state!!!

A lot of us would have loved that number 2-3 years ago, and now that is a Battle Road or Cities type number!

I was thrilled to have more than 32 in Juniors and Seniors so each got a top 8!!!

Talk to you all soon!!!

You've got Juniors and Seniors backwards. It was about 70 Seniors and 110 Juniors give or take a couple. I'm sure BDS will have the official numbers in a couple of hours.

Nice job Bullados on giving us a great analysis on the attendance growth.

It's good to see such a high percentage growth for Masters. Hopefully this will bring something positive to that age division; regarding how PUI markets the game, prizes distribution, anything. I know we already great more invites, but I don't believe we still get enough for the difference in numbers.

Official Oregon Numbers

OREGON - 336, up from 199 last year, that's a 69% INCREASE

Jr - 110
Sr - 71
Ma - 155

That's not a States... that a National!

All hail the nation of Snorlaxia!

No kidding!! His divisions had more than some entire states! Hats off to you BDS! That's setting the bar pretty high! Quite an amazing increase over last year!

This is for the first weekend ONLY. I'll do the second weekend later tonight.

With 20 states confirmed, the total week 1 attendance is...

Jr: 447 last year: 420; 6.43% growth
Sr: 525 Last year: 472; 11.2% growth
Ma: 1021 Last year: 725; 40.8% growth

Total: 1993 Last year: 1617; 23.3% growth

With only 4 events left to report (3 MX, IA), I believe this is the first year where we've gotten 2000 people on a single day playing the game of Pokemon. I might be wrong, I don't remember what the stats were for Mexico last year. And again, my 20-30% growth is stacking up quite nicely. Considering that all of these events happened on a single day across all of North America, those are QUITE impressive numbers!

I'll work on this past Saturday's events right now, but I expect them to FAR exceed those of week 1, based on the reports I've seen so far...

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

This post is for the second weekend only. I'll merge the two later, but I'm VERY interested in seeing the exact totals for each weekend separately, then together.

Code:
State: Jr / Sr / Ma = Total (Last Year) (% Growth)

Quebec: 11 / 13 / 41 = 65 [B]FIRST EVER STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!![/B]

New Mexico: 21 / 22 / 69 = 112 (10/17/36 = 63) (110 / 29.4 / 91.7 = [B]77.8[/B]
Oregon: 109 / 70 / 157 = 336 (57/45/97 = 199) (91.2 / 55.6 / 61.9 = [B]68.8[/B])
Kansas: 33 / 24 / 63 (1) = 121 (25/15/33 = 73) (32 / 60 / 90.9 = [B]65.7[/B])
Ohio: 30 / 32 / 87 = 149 (27/17/51 = 95) (11.1 / 88.2 / 70.6 = [B]56.8[/B])
Missouri: 42 / 45 / 71 = 158 (29/28/52 = 109) (44.8 / 60.7 / 36.5 = [B]44.95[/B])

Florida: 62 / 63 / 110 (1) = 236 (47/45/85 = 177) (31.9 / 40 / 29.4 = [B]33.3[/B])
Delaware: 19 / 16 / 46 = 81 (14/20/30 = 64) (35.7 / -20 / 53.3 = [B]26.6[/B])
Oklahoma: 16 / 26 / 73 = 115 (17/23/53 = 93) (-5.88 / 13.0 / 37.7 = [B]23.7[/B])

Massachusetts: 29 / 35 / 68 = 132 (33/26/65 = 124) (-12.1 / 34.6 / 4.6 = [B]6.45[/B])
With 16 States reporting on the second weekend, our totals are:

Juniors: 509 Last Year: 361 % Growth: 40.997
Seniors: 477 Last Year: 354 % Growth: 34.7
Masters: 1051 Last Year: 684 % Growth: 53.7

Total: 2037 Last Year: 1399 % Growth: 45.6

HOLY MOTHER OF PEARL THAT'S A LOTTA PEOPLE!!!!! My 20-30% predictions were completely blown out of the water. Yadda yadda Oregon 330 yadda yadda Florida 236 yadda yadda yadda. Maine broke Indiana's attendance growth record by over 60 percent. And again, over 2000 people playing Pokemon in one day, and there are still 7 States yet to report, only one from Mexico.

Total for Both Weekends, 36 reported

Junior: 956 Last Year: 781 % Growth: 22.4
Senior: 1002 Last Year: 826 % Growth: 21.3
Master: 2072 Last Year: 1409 % Growth: 47.0

Total: 4030 Last Year: 3016 % Growth: 33.6
