good. i dont want samus to get the shaft, cause shes my main. and the coolest.
im going to enjoy the aided air game, i dont know about the lesser missiles though, those were so much fun in melee.

Depends on if Samus has that down A or in (C stick Down) move when you stomp the living crap out of someone and can sometimes knock them down a hole, least in the N64 Smash Bros Samus had that ability, then it became non existant in Melee although Captain Falcon and Ganondorf had it and thats why they are my mains in Melee. Whoever has that one ability will probably be my mains in Brawl.

I don't profess to be a smash expert, but didn't she have enough ko moves anyway? Besides, the charge beam charges a lot faster this time around, so you can play keep away better.

touche'.
thats good, but missiles were still a lot of fun and im gonna miss their effectiveness.
hopefully her football tackle (dash attack) and disco inferno (down tilt) are still good or better, cause they were pretty effective as well.
but i do like that charge beam is faster. i heard that it wasnt as strong though, does anyone know if thats true?

Actually, they improved samus' aerial game at the same time they nerfed the projectiles, she's not worse, just different.

ZSS has recovery problems apparently, she's a combo maniac though.

Meh, they killed the neut-air's knockback, reduced the back-air's hitbox and increased the down-air's hitbox. The loss of good neut-air kills me deeply.

Yeah, it's messed up that ZSS has to use her down-B to recover if she's getting edgehogged. Not that she deserves good recovery, but still....

Not in Melee, the charged beam was not as powerful, Samus was only useful in a couple ways, that was completing parts of the game like multi man melee, 15 minute melee, and such. But as a fighter, the only way to really play Samus was to accumulate higer damage then normal on someone then used the charged beam, of course you can get KO with any character in melee, its just it was much harder with Samus compared to the first game on N64. So she really didnt have any good KO moves in melee, perhaps they changed that in brawl.

yeah Links down-A attack is about his only real attack he has, its one of those finishing moves that you dont need to wait for it to go off, its instant.

I'm just happy that Jigglypuff and Ness are back for Brawl. They were my mains in Melee, and I look forward to exploring whatever changes could have been made to them ^_^ A friend of mine actually imported a Wii and a copy of Brawl so that he could play it early as a bday gift to himself.

Yeah, Ness was my main, but I think I'm switching to Lucas, or mabey even Wolf (yeah, I really want to play competitive this time around).

with online mode you know I am going to play competitive, I am thinking characters with speed will be the way to go as long as they got a viable finishing move.

I saw an amazing battle of Metaknight vs Pit on youtube, and it really encouraged me to try out Pit from the start.

Yeah, I've been seeing some of these Pit videos, and he looks sick. Dang near impossible to kill him from what i've watched, and a lot of the vids were VS Gimpyfish and his Bowser.

hard to tell on youtube whos good and whos bad, most of the videos I see of gameplay of characters, wifi, or vs mode it seems all those players just blow, thus you cant determine whos really good or whos really bad character wise.

Pit and Captain Olimar look to be pretty good, but questions remain as to what smash moves that can be a finisher for these 2 characters. Olimar looked to have one heck of a high damage ratio, but it does little good if it dont have a good smash in which it can finish the opponent, Pit I cant even tell much about him, if anyone has any GOOD videos of VS mode with all of the characters from players that dont blow, please let me know.

well thats much better, even though Pit was somewhat misused in that video, its one of the best matches I have seen so far, and I can see now in competitive tournaments where Pit will be the first character to be banned from play.

Theirs no possible way for him to die unless hes blown off the screen side ways or upwards, he surly aint going to fall down from not being able to reach the ledge.
