Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

The (Asumed) Top 10 Cards We'll Miss

10. HC will be missed, but its nowhere near as good as it once was. Does not belond here.
9. Castaway: Agreed
8. No. Plus Power is better in many more ways than Stregnth Charm is. Will not be missed much.
7. Copycat: agreed
6. Scott: agreed.
5. Cess: agreed.
4. Scramble: agreed.
3. Will not be missed. The tools we have nowadays aren't nearly as threatening as Cess was (which is bieng rotated out), and we are getting many more stadiums in the upcoming sets.
2. I have always found that in every single deck I have that uses Claydol that Bebe is better than Celio because it gets rid of a card in your hand, allowing you to draw more with Claydol.
1. I for one will not miss DRE at all. With DRE gone, so many donks will be avoided, and so many decks will need to be rethought and reconstructed. I am not sad to see this go, and hope I neevr see it again.

Not bad, Team ST made a decent article, props to you guys.

Holon Castform?? over TV reporter/Stevens advice/delcatty

Rayquaza d ex a mention??Mr stones a mention??

My god,how bad is your metagame to mention Ray and holon castform.Make a better list of cards. For your sake

Why do people think castform is a bad card? I kinda like recycling my dres/scrambles and doing 10 more, thank you very much.

Windstorm are getting rid of the annoying unown... but I never owned one >.< (dang budget) and i would a begged to get 6 if i could.
I never used DRE a lot since my decks used ex as a main attacker or need basic energy and besides there was holon rainbow last season and scramble that is all i needed (I used megaslam)

I would Holon Castform would have been missed from last season when it went with all the other holon/delta pokemon.
Stones has been over looked to much and not many people used it in the past season (I know I used it).

PlusPower IS the new Strength Charm, so we won't miss it THAT much...
I think that Delcatty and Blaziken PK will be missed, cause without Blaziken PK MagBlaze isn't as good as before. Not that much worse but... worse^^

Castform isnt a bad card,it dosent fit into decks like it used to except Vire, which isnt even played barely and better builds dont have castform in it now. So its fine you recycle your DRE/Scrambles,but when they get wagered, then thats pretty cool 2.

it would be better 2 lists:

pokemon and non-pokemon cards.

people mentioned absol EX and ray EX d.

i LOVE both cards, but we know they are not played as much as in the past season with the overpowered DP-on pokes now.

Lesson learned: Spend more time preparing lists before randomly posting them.
Actualy, we spent quite a while debateing over placings and justifications. Just because it isn't to universal agreement, doesn't mean we din't try.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

I know. There's been so many whining posts over how "most of those cards are garbage". (Actualy, that and "I won't miss DRE!", but that's a format changing card).

I agree with most, but Celio's at number 2? With Claydol out now after Bebe's release, who really cares about Celio's?

See, the thing is that most people are of the opinion that those cards pretty much died over a year ago. Sure, you could still legally use them this, but . . . why even bother? They're mostly trash this season, and that's all most people will care about: THIS season.

I liked Holon's Castform back in the day. And Ray ex d, and Steven's Advice. Sadly, they became obsolete as soon as we got a decent number of DP sets. I won't miss them because of the rotation, I'll miss them because they are practically useless now (except Castform, but you'll rarely put more than one in a deck and still win anything that matters). I'm sure many, many people agree with me, too.

Now, TVR . . . again, how is that not on the list? It's better than POV in every deck that runs starters and situational techs. Draw something you'll never use? Discard it! Yes, Felicity's lets you discard, but you do so BEFORE you draw, thus giving you less of a chance to kill off junk cards. This subject is important because of all the Wagers being used.

That is why i am hating the DP sets its becoming like YGO used to be. There is 1 broken deck and every thing else has to find a way to beat it. Before DP came out all decks from the past season was still used (except when the pokemon needed was cycled) now all delta decks are banashed from being capable of winning with todays standards. Holon was a very good combo since there was over 20 different ways you could play with them and not try to top one deck that forced enough damage. I remember 2004 Had Magma, Swampert, Blaze, Gardevoir, for top decks. FOUR different decks compared to todays top two. 2005 Had DragTrode, Trianitar, NidoQueen, Just a few and still used Blaze Gardevoir, and Magma. 2006 Entered Delta decks with Metanite and it never died till the cycled out.
Today there is nothing remembered except blazecatty (and not used much)

I said, remembered, Blazecatty is seen once and a while.
I have not seen many decks like Raieggs used again or Goldlock (Golduck delta).
I only hear of Magmortar and G&G dominating and that is all unlike other seasons when there was newer decks that could beat those but are they all were the same level of playing

They are overrated, much as they're good. Mag isn't all that great, since Gardy, Cess and Empoleon steamroll over it.

There were some problems with the Diamond & pearl cards but now the topdecks are: Garchomp, eeveelutions, empoleon and gallade so there are 4 different decks which you can use so Majestic Dawn balanced the format out.

It's a little better. But you know it's a good format when even the oldest set legal is still mostly playable.
The Secret Wonders/ Mysterious Treasures is pretty much the cut off mark now for the most part.
