I would take that bet. Last year, they won quite a few games(Ravens, Eagles, etc.) due to entangibles.

Now, take that top sentence, and replace the word entangibles with Tom Brady.

Without Brady at the helm, i can't see the Pats winning the close games that Brady was at the helm at for last year.

My superbowl Prediction?

Instate Superbowl

13 Eagles-Steelers 24

I'm from Atlanta btw, so this isn't some home based bias. I think these two teams are the two most clutch teams in each conference.
An interception, a last second time out, bad reffing, and a lucky false start penalty aren't intangibles.

two words denver broncos. Right now ther the best team in the league and the cowboys are so overated their

defense is terrible probaly worst with a healthy Roy Williams. Buffalo also looks really good

what the broncos cheat so much what r u talking about

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

I will make this statement right now, As of Thursday, September 18th, 2008, I am predicting the patriots will go
16-0 and win the superbowl, mark my words

ok let bet on it lol

Because Aaron Rodgers wont be figured out until seasons end or next season.

Like any new QB that comes in, they going to dominate their first year (David Garrard, Joe Flacco, ect...) and then stink it up the next year. Green Bay also has yet to face a good team anyway.

Patriots, that same team who beat the Jets by 9 pts.

They barely beat a very bad Chiefs team.
Hmmm, so what your saying is that Aaron Rodgers gets special rights but Matt Cassel is going to blow a patriots team with all the componets they had from last season (minus some with some imporvements)? Okay buddy. 13-3.

Well Matt Cassel just had his first start in a football game since HIGH SCHOOL. He didn't start one game in college. He's a career back-up QB. Still though the Patriots are a football TEAM so they'll probably still win a lot of games. I doubt they'll get to the superbowl though.

Patriots, the team is strong enough to win. People seem to ignore that there are other Players on the team. You don't win most of your games by 20+ points by having a bad defense.

heres the thing, so far Packers have beaten Minnesota and Detriot with fashion.

Matt Cassel has barely beaten a bad chiefs team and barely beat a bad jets team, truly he didnt have nothing to do with beating the jets, it was all on their kicker much like how they won every Super Bowl.

its easy to figure out Cassel, he will be a system QB like Brady.

how do the broncos cheat jus cause the ref made a bad call tats not ther fault its part of the game and ther the # 1

offense in the NFL. The Patriots do need Tom Brady cause h threw 50 TDS last year and do u honestly beleive Matt

Cassel will throw even 20 and the Pats wont even win the division Iam saying it Right now The Buffalo Bills will win the

AFC east they play like a team and ther playrs r not selfish. The Jets do not suk ther play calling is just terrible if u

hav the best pure passer in NFL history wouldnt u pass the ball more than u run it

Brady isn't exactly vital to the success to that team, but he *is* one of the 3-5 best QBs in the NFL right now. I seriously doubt that you can point to more than 4 QBs who have compiled a 63% completion ratio, 197 TDs to only 86 picks, and most importantly, a record of 86-26 since 2001. Oh, and make sure that they've gotten at least 2000 pass attempts over the last 7 years. Good luck!

Two weeks into the season, it's darn near impossible to say who will be in the SB. We can make pretty good guesses as to the playoff teams, though. From the NFC, I'm seeing all of the East except Washington, and the Packers. The South and West are complete tossups. From the AFC, there are a BUNCH of teams that I think could make it. From east to west: Pats, Bills, Steelers, Colts, Titans, Broncos, and Chargers are all teams that I'm looking towards come playoff time, but there are a few that could make some noise (Jets, Ravens, Jags, Texans) come playoff time.

Broncos wont be #1 for long, they will be back to a .500 season soon enough, so far they beaten Oakland (big whoop) and technically lost to a San Diego team with a depleted defense.

Denver wont go no where this season.

I say it's pretty up-in-the-air. In the end... the Bills will beat the Cardinals. And yes, I'm only saying that because neither team has been mentioned so far despite being good.

Hey, I put the Bills in the group of teams that I think have a good shot at the playoffs from the AFC.

And I don't think that any team from the NFC West is "good"...
