Wow, Bronco games are all going to be exciting to watch this year if nothing else. Our D is as bad as our O is good! I think the AFC is wide open right now though. San Diego hasn't done a ton yet, the hierarchy from the past few years (Pittsburgh, NE, Indy) All have serious issues right now. And Jacksonville, who I thought was the dark horse and would make a serious bid at the Super Bowl, now looks exactly like a 7-9 team would. Denver, Tennessee, or Buffalo could step up and go far if they can keep momentum going. NFC is looking deep this year, it's going to be BRUTAL. Don't believe me just look at the Philly/Dallas game week 2 and the GB/Dallas game right now...this game is the true definition of a slobber knocker.
In the end, I really like the cream to rise back to the top in the AFC, and I think Indy will limp into the playoffs at 10-6 by winning 4 of their last 5, then making that wild card run to the Super Bowl we've seen so often the last few years. All the ingredients are there once Peyton stops limping around on one leg, Saturday gets the O-line turned around and Addai gets going. I think the D will figure it out once Sanders is back as well. He has a history of turning them into a championship caliber D by coming back week 11 or 12 and playing the rest of the year.
In the NFC I really, really like Philly right now. McNabb has turned the clock back to 2002 and looks awesome, and their D is perfectly suited to the pressure style they really love. Once they get their top 2 WRs back too they will be very good.
