Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

The So called machine? Why such a big deal?

I still support Yamato's choice in Lotad. T1 Surprise can be so devastating if you take away their ONE energy or their ONE celio =)

But yeah, guys. Love the ideal of Yamato, not the idol. :D

I'd definately take on the challenge vs Yamato, I never misplayed once during Worlds and I can truthfully say my last season was not great because of luck, I had the correct choices at tournaments and got screwed over by luck, I didn't win Nationals based on a lucksac and I didn't win Worlds because I decked myself (and no it wasn't a misplay it was inevitable), I definately do NOT doubt Yamato's ability to play this game and he is definately one of the top notch players, but I do think you are discrediting the rest too much. I'd definately take on Yamato my Queen vs his ZRE 69 games to see who was the best or whatever.

I agree with kettler the choise was the best andi am happy to see howfast this thread blew up.

I knew a couple of coments would fire ya'll up. Tricked you.

No this year i did'nt get an invite the only tourney I played in that could get me one was Nationalsand states.
I did'nt get to go to any gym challenges.
But next year I will.

and oh what is this ZRE deck I heardsome what of it. But what does it do?

Eh, I don't idolize him, and I am sure he made some mistakes, everyone does. Maybe it was a mistake to run the non-rain dish ones, but they do not have as good as attacks as the DX ones, and really, those cards were almost 10 sets old to him. He doesn't even get to play them in Japan because the format is FRLG-on. So he's had like over a year to play with the DX line and most likely didn't even consider the SS ones.

I also feel that ross's deck was nowhere near complicated. He ran four lines, a pidgeot line, magcargo line, electrode ex line, and tyranitar line. Once he drops larvitar, I would be sure that he was either running rock-lock or dark ttar + something. Where was the surprise factor here?

Consistency is more than one deck you know >_>

No offense to anyone , IE Aggron blaster we have hung out at events and such , But anyone who says , " It is just a game" IMO doesn't belong at worlds

Uh... It ISN'T anything more than a card game. The question is, how important is the card game to you?

Rain dishers have lower HP, making them easier kills when rocked. I know this firsthand.

Who cares, it's only the different rates of movement of matter...
wait, that's life and existence

Who cares, it's only chemical reactions...
wait, that's love

I personally don't like reductionism so much. I agree that just about everything can be reduced into simpler parts, but it doesn't simplify things. The purpose of reductionism is to understand the larger by understanding the smaller pieces of a whole... but the whole is often time verrryyy different from the pieces, just like the human body for example.

On a small scale, it's just atoms and chemicals interacting, and can be reduced as such, but the whole is something extremely different, there is an unexplained conciousness about the interactions that cannot be reduced.

"It's just a game." but what is life, but a large game of odds and luck, too. It is a game, but it is also a basis for friendship, money, excitement, etc... the things that make up an enjoyable life.

I wasn't there, but I found the reasoning behind the name to be simple. After playing all day Sat. and most of the day Sun. for the tournament, then played for fun for another 7+ hours straight!!! All the while, making very few mistakes...........like a machine!!!
