After horribly losing South Carolina states, I was talking with my friend (TormentedSoul14) about which deck to try next. So I figured I would start a thread and get everyones opinion on what is good/most used right now. Maybe set up a tier chart.

Easily, Rock-Lock is top tier right now (for most used), other than that what else is top?

I placed 2nd out of 60-70 people at my states sunday and most of the top 4 (including myself) used Dark Draggy, but one player played vileplum ex and mt moon, which killed all our decks. oh well, but at least i got 16 packs.

Dark Draggy has proven time and time again that it is the fastest, most consistent, and the most reliable deck in the format right now. And with Rocket's Sneasel EX in the deck, you could possibly use Dark Ring for massive damage turn 3 or even possibly run 2 if you were able to get the right cards say a hand lik Dunsparse, 2 Dark Energies, Dark Electrode, Dark Dragonite, Rare Candy, and Steven's Advice. It be very unlikely, but it's still possible. And for those who don't know how this deck works let me explain to you since some people are brain dead at 12:13 AM.
1.Play Dunsparse, attach a Dark Energy and SARS getting Rocket's Sneasel EX, Dratini, and Voltorb, and send up Sneasel.
2. Attach Darkness Energy to Sneasel, Candy Dratini into Dark Draggy, Evolve Voltorb into Dark Electrode, use Darkness Navigation to get a Darkness, use Dark Trance to move the Energies to Sneasel, and Dark Ring for 90 turn one.

Very unlikely, but still possible as is everything. But I still see things like this: Neverland is the new BAR/RAMBO, and Dark Trance is the new Gardy.

PS: And VEX may become the new Swampert due to the fact that the deck sometimes takes a while to fully set up, but is deadly once set up unless your opponent already has set up.

wow, you MUST be joking, voodoo is definately the fastest and most consistent deck in the format.

Well, Rock Lock and Dark Dragonite are definitely in the team picture. Blaziken is still being used and winning, Zapdos would qualify, and Salmance EX would be too, once enough people can get the cards.

Criteria for Top Tier Decks
1. Top Tier are decks that can beat many many decks types (I.E. any red face paint that wasn't built specifically to defeat it.)
2. Top Tier are decks that are ran by the masses. (Hey, You and I have a good deck, but if no one else plays it is not Top Tier. )
3. Top Tier are decks that have Wins. (Frequency of play #2, helps this.)
4. Top Tier Decks are what the skilled players think enough to meta-game against.

Draggy is one of the best, one of the most consistent, and fastest decks I have ever run. It's the one deck I know inside and out. So it makes me wonder when someone speaks of something that is more consistent or any better than the good old draggy.

Well, from what i've seen, some of the top decks would be
Draggy
Rock-Lock
VooDoo
Zap-Turn-Dos
Metattack(with Jirachi tech)
and some rogue decks, thats what i've seen, but out of those 4, based on my testings, Draggy and Metattack have been very fast, consistant, and powerful, but thats me. Anyway, thats my input on this.

I believe its that Dark Slowking/Dark Hypno/Bannette(i think) deck. I think it is. Not sure though

Sceptile7990 has the right idea. It's the deck Hedgie used to win his State Championship, and then Hot Mustid saw the idea and used it at his State Championship and won.

Anyway, v00d00 d0llz is just a rogue deck, not anything else. If you wanted to, you could say that Lanturn/Breloom was Tier One, because it's certainly a metagame monster, but that's not the case, now is it? Mustid, Voodoo is no more consistant than any other Stage Two deck. In fact, it is probably less consistant, because it runs three Stage 1 lines instead of two.

I'm not going to list what I think are the Tier One decks, because I honestly don't know what they are. There are a lot of good decks in the format, specifically metagaming against Rock-Lock a lot of the time, so it's hard to put them in perspective.

Candidates are certainly:
Rock-Lock
Dark Dragonite
Sceptile ex/Slowbro
Vileplume ex
Blaziken

I'm putting Blaziken up there because Joner is likely to come up be like "No d00d witw Blaze is soooo Tier 0ne!!1eleven!" If he doesn't, good job, Sebastian, because I know you're probably reading this. =P Rock-Lock and Dragonite have definitely proven themselves, and Vileplume ex and Sceptile ex/Slowbro are excellent metagaming tools for Rock-Lock and usually even Draggy. Blaziken has an okay win percentage against Dark Dragonite, and will usually dominate Sceptile ex/Slowbro. Blaziken is in need of a huge makeover if it wants to beat Rock-Lock, but it is possible, as shown by Indiana States.

Okay, I've made a fool of myself, now somebody argue and I'll argue back and we can start a flame war and get ANOTHER one of these stupid Tier posts locked.

Well, actully i thought about it more, and i think the top decks would be
Rock-Lock
Metattack(with Jirachi tech)
Blaze(Shotgun or regular)
VooDoo
Slowbro/Sceptile
Draggy
Ok, that is after thinking about it, And i think those are the top decks right now.

Blaziken is still VERY strong if you run it properly, and adjust it to the current meta, IMHO.

There was a lot of Draggy in Iowa, some Rock Lock, and a lot of red face paint. Supprisingly, there was only one Zapdos deck that I know of.

I'm gonna say Draggy and Rock Lock are the tier one decks out there right now.
