Ben - can you just confirm that you'll be allowing the new Nidoking sleeves for tommorow?

Of course as POP have stated here they are totally legal for Organised Play .. and if you need a deck box to go with them .. you would have got one free at my pre-releases ;)

But they're up for sale too :D

Tomorrow promises to be a great tourney I look forward to seeing you all - I'll be the fat stressed looking hairy bloke by the laptop  - at least until we get you all playing..

Lol, awwww. I wish I had come along now. I intend to do the rounds for [insert replacement for regionals here] though, I'm correct in thinking its the first person who gets their K-value to zero that qualifies, right? :p
Very interested in hearing what happened when its all over.

PS Sorry if my post #38 came over a bit harsh, I gots my reasons.

I didn't stay for the final, but it wass a Lunarock mirror. Nice to see some familiar faces again and best of luck for London.

Yep mirror match final both decks being built by Mick Arnold.. but Dharyl Wilson has probably played the deck more and that showed through with Dharyl winning a close battle 2-0 in the matchplay - the result not showing how close each game was.

And I know that Norwich's Number1 also gave Dharyl a close game.. thanks for all of you for coming and putting up with grumpy me.. being two judges down in the YGO and with James and Lewis I (brothers) trying to register on the same ID # I got a little tetchy at times.. but we got there in the end!

The deck will feature in Decembers Pokemon World .. so go and buy a copy !! And look for you photos there too thanks to the man with the camera .. ME!

Also good to see the local talent beating off London and Norwich with Andy Stone kinda being a Crawley raider who happens to live in Kent..

In the end results were:

Masters winner - Dharyl Wilson (from www.gamersguild.co.uk)
Senior winner - Jonathan S (from www.gamersguild.co.uk)
Juniors winner - Tommy E (from www.gamersguild.co.uk)

I know some of the team will be in London next weekend and that we plan to be in Bournemouth on mass on the 9th so watch out UK - team gamers guild are coming :p

today was a very gd day pitty no top 4 cut like there should be i was robbed but gd tourney look forward to next 1
edited to highlight incorrect assumption - remember what assume means!

POP has asked TOs to run a cut where there are more than 6 players in an age group, TOM (Tournament Operations Manager) decides on the numbers for that cut.

Nobody was robbed of a place in the cut this TO followed POP guidelines and TOM set the cut - it was not altered and cannot be increased!

Players need to understand that previous TO discretion on a TOP X has been reduced.

Don't complain on the boards when the cut was called right at the start of the tournament and you just didn't make it - your TO has and will continue to follow POP guidelines..

If you would like a demonstration of TOM at work I am more than willing to show you how it determins the cut at the next CC I run.

You don't have to explain mad to me matey - My brain is fried some days and life has been pretty hard recently - Anyhow good luck in London for those of you that are playing there this weekend :thumb:

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Just a note do you want me to record winners in a seperate thread? We ought to keep track ourselves as a precaution, plus it means TO's know who has already qualified..

Sounds a good idea

Sorry if this may be a bit late notice, but we have decided to make the start time for our CC on January 13th 2007 a bit later. The doors will still open at 10:30am, but the tournament won't begin until 12:30pm. If anything this should help a few of you out getting here on time :thumb:

Also, were planning to run a second CC in February due to the high volume of players we will be getting. Date and venue to be confirmed soon.

Ace Gaming

No problem Ace we have updated and you should get into jan issue of PW magazine too!!

Frizzmmm - Give us spome time on Slough but we plan to get over your way too :D

So, to guarantee a place in the UK Nationals what does a player have to do?
  • Have finished as one of the Top 4 players in your age group in the 2006 nationals
  • Be the top unqualified player in your age group in a City Championships
  • Be in one of the top 8 unqualified players in your age group in a Regional Championships
  • Be in the Top 25 Premier Rankings for your age group – Note slots will not drop down if a player is already qualified
I know this info is out to some but not all .. so here it is

Many thanks to John for another great London CC. Great to see some old and new faces and just about every round was amazing!

Incidentally, 2 of my mini-binders with a handful of ex's and a bunch of deck worthy trainers went missing during the final, if anyone reading this ended up picking them in the rush to leave at 5pm please get in touch.
