Hi,
Fanboy3 can't get confirmation for their CC on 16th December, so that event is cancelled. It will hopefully be held in January. I believe that Crewe, which hasn't thus far been listed, is also postponing their event until they receive confirmation.

~
With regards to this, while I understand that decisions have to be made, I'm just wondering how fair is it to run events that many won't know about? Only those who have attended that league recently or find this thread can know about them at the moment. Obviously I'm not affected, I'm just pondering this.

It seems that TO's across the UK have all suffered from this lack of confirmation and I can only urge them to continue with events and confirm with TPfG when they can.

I know that John and myself ran without or with minimal confirmation and prize support, we provided the booster prizes ourselves based on the OP website and with additional packs provided to all players at Rainham by me as a thank you for coming.

Lets hope that this is addressed soon, I was going to publish the CC's in Pokemon World but I don't want to publish a list of dates that are being cancelled!

Sadly if you want confirmation right now you had better visit a church

I can't get through to Dave at FanBoy3, but my understanding is like Exeter they will still be running an event that may or may not be a CC - confirmation from TPfG is very slow on these events at the moment.

Updates added for Crawley

St Edwards has a church right next door! :thumb:
Once again those hard working folks at TPFG shine through once more!!! :thumb:

Ben, if you could do the honors please...:thumb:

And btw folks, our Saturday 13th January (the one with the DS Lite as main prize) is still a go ahead; if TPFG fail to provide us with prize support on time we will of course provide our own.

Ben

updated with Hull II and moved completed CC's to bottom of listing and changed font colour to red.

Any more CC's guys and gals?

AFAIK Chalkey's hanging on 'til he gets confirmation from TPfG...so in the words of Liesik, I can neither confirm nor deny that Scotland's CCs in the 06/07 season will take place within the years 2006 or 2007.

I'd expect us to hold more than one due to there being only one league here. We'll see.

Cole the problem with hanging on is that you won't get published :( from experience so far it seems best to proceed without confirmation and chase TPfG afterwards.

Having said that both myself and John are still awaiting confirmation of the prize packages, which is quite scary, especial since we handed out booster prizes based on the US package and at our own expense!

Now we can only hope we see our investment returned to us and the winners getting their prize packages and medals.. TPfG have at least confirmed the status of both as CC's but have yet to flag them as such so PLAYERS need to be aware that they need to keep a watch for their premier points from the first two CC's as they won't yet be showing.

Yeah, seemed that way in the past with previous events. We waited for the confirmation last time and ran 4 CCs a-okay, but seems less organised this year.

I'll speak to him about it at league this weekend - doubt we'll have one before Xmas at this rate, but hopefully early on in the new year.

Btw, on my POP account the first 2 CC's have both been updated with wins and losses, but it hasn't given a premier rating - is this the same for everyone else? when can we expect solid scores to be done?

That problem seems to be on other people's POP accounts at the mo. It was mentioned on the forums a while back. I'm sure it'll be sorted soon. I think its the thing about working out K-values as well that's making it a little more difficult to sort on ratings calculations.

The points not showing has nothing to do with POP accounts, K Value calculations or any sorting difficulty if the US and Europe can do it - as you can clearly see some of the Europeans have premier rankings from their CC's - because their OP Providrs flagged them as CCs PREMIER EVENTS - If TPfG do not flag them as premier events then you will not get the points!

Check out http://op.pokemon-tcg.com/tournaments/ratingsnrankings/ranks.asp and search Europe and Africa, you will find 146 ranked players - they have had no difficulty...

Once again, its the UK players and Organisers that are going to suffer...

This is absolutely no good whatsoever - repeating what manicgiraffe said; how is most of the UK player base going to be made aware of these events? Not everyone is going to see them on this website, they're going to be looking on the OP website - and time is pushing on. I'm sure quite a lot of people are feeling the same way about this...

When are we meant to be hearing about Regionals? This month?

Okay, Ben, I've been corrected. Guess I was thinking TPfG were reliable for once.

This'll certainly cause problems if TPfG actually wants anyone to get a rating invite this year. I can only hope TPfG will find a way to class these previous CCs as Premier events. If not, if its like last year with only 1 Regional per major area, we're gonna slump on Ratings points, especially those who can't afford to go to all those regionals, or those who are too far away (i.e. me. )

Wow, this is very concerning, I was looking forward to having the UK being represented by many more players at worlds this year, but if we don't even have a chance to get ratings what can we do:* (

Any news if TPfG have started sending out prize packages yet for previous CCs?

Chalkey was away at the weekend - will get to him this weekend for more info if/when he's running CCs.

No prize packages sent yet, no confirmation of packages either. I know Russ is going to run this Saturday and hand out booster prizes based on the OP website prize packages that is winner gets half a box, 10 boosters to the runner up and 4 and 4 for 3rd and 4th.

Is Norwich still running on Sunday?

- Added Mitcham to the list - BTW
