no one is saying you are , what i am saying is that some children who don't follow as religiously as others may have difficulties, so to avoid problems some things shoul be made clear to avoid confusion and bad feeling when it should be fun for all and not just for those with more understanding^^In the situations described, it was appropriate. I'm sceptical about the whole junior thing. If their parents are TOs/regular players then they should be able to learn the rules with enough practice...
my point is that some people in general have learning difficulties ie special needs and are entitled to play and have fun as much as anyone else. so head judges should take this into account after all there should be equal opportunities. to be fair on everyone rules should be made clear before the tournament starts. those of a higher level of play should understand the need for this and be more understanding. some rules aren't always made clear. eg more technical rules. i'm not questioning the way you played in your game, i'm making a general statement from experience.
i just think that some judges are too quick to assume things, thats all. :thumb:

Well, no, not a go at him anyway!
Every premier event should run pretty much the same. But judges vary, and so experiences will. A premier event isn't a tourney you're just supposed to walk into. Certain things are required of everyone involved, staff and players alike.
