Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

WEREWOLF XII: Cyrus's Revenge!! ENDGAME Planning for next WW game inside

Hold the phone... you can vote for No One? Oh God, that is so totally awesome! :p I never knew that. I've never seen it done. That's what I love about Werewolf: you might think you know everything about the game, but it still can manage to surprise you.

Time for some logical thinking:

If Diaz is a priest, then he will be protected by the other priest, if any. If there is no other priest, he will be killed during the night.

If he is a wolf, he will be protected by the true priest and possibly even the real priest, meaning both our priests totally wasted their role and it will allow the wolves to mercilessly kill anyone they so choose.

Either way, this is a double-edged sword. If we vote for Diaz, we risk the loss of a priest, if not our only priest. If we let him live, he might be a wolf and there will be no protection for any of us. Either way, this is an immense gamble for the town.

If we kill Diaz now, we may lose the priest and any last form of protection. But if he is a wolf, then we will be infiltrated by the Werewolves.

But when Diaz said he was the priest... I truly believed him. My gut shifted as I contemplated his possible innocence, and I realized what we might be doing. Therefore, I recast my vote in a way I never realized was possible. Not because my logic tells me to do so (and indeed, it warns me heavily not to do so), but because my gut tells me it's the right thing to do.

Unvote: Diaz
Vote: No One

But Diaz... if you are a Wolf... then I swear I will do everything in my power to rid your presence from this game. I will be keeping heavy attention upon you, and if you act up even in the slightest manner, then you will know exactly who I will be voting for. If you are the priest, I apologize... but if you are a Werewolf, then I caution you.

What happens if there are more votes for no one then Diaz? does that mean nobody is voted off? and on another note isnt voting at any given time risk us voting out a priest i mean we have no idea whose who.

Sorry im just confused about everything at the moment.

If the wolves try to kill me it will be a very risky move, I'm probably more likely to get priest-ed than most, because of the whole situation.

I'm not sure I will be protected by any other priests though. With how many people think I'm a wolf, there seems to be a decent chance that I don't get protected.

So if you buy that I'm a priest (big IF, I guess) and I protect someone, then other priest(s) protect other players, we still get all the protection we would have.
----------------------------------------

I'm not sure I'm explaining myself well enough here, but here are some possibilities for nighttime scenarios. I'm going to assume you might not believe I'm a priest.

1. I am a priest, I protect someone, other priest(s) protect other players. The wolves lynch me.

2. I am a priest, I protect someone, other priest(s) protect other players. The wolves lynch someone else (some chance that they are unsuccessful due to priests).

3. I am a priest, I try to protect someone, other priest(s) protect me. The wolves try to lynch me, and fail. (Best for the town.)

4. I am a priest, I protect try to protect someone, other priest(s) protect me. The wolves lynch someone else. (higher likelihood of their kill working because basically no priest is affecting the town.

5. I am not a priest, but a wolf, (I know crazy right?) The priests protect other players, and the wolves try to kill someone.

6. I am not a priest, but a wolf. The priests protect me, and the wolves kill someone cause there are no priests working. (worst case scenario i think)

Disclaimer: There might be more I havent covered.

I think alot of it comes down to whether or not the wolves are guts-y enough to try to kill me, and take out a priest. And whether or not the other priests decide to protect me. I think I've offered enough evidence, not to prove my role without any doubt, but to make lynching me a risky play for the town.

From my point of view: I am a priest, I want the town not to lynch me because my presence in the game helps the town, and my win condition is town wins.

Hope this helps.

My whole issue is that this whole thing is an if statement. If you are a priest. But if what if you are a wolf? We have no way of knowing, because they won't kill you either way. They won't kill you if you're a wolf, and they won't dare target you due to the fact that the other priest will most likely protect you. So either way, we're left in the dark.

For now, I will assume you are the priest. But if evidence suggests you aren't the priest, I will cast my vote for you. It is that simple. I abstain from voting, and I honestly hope you are telling the truth.

I do not think that it will be a waste of time for a seer to use his role to reveal Diaz's role. We still have plenty of days left for the seer to reveal the veterans of this game(4-8 players). Priest always tries to protect seer unless another powerful role emerges.

I'll wait until 12/7 before I make my final vote.

BUt then how will the seer tell us? He cant be just coming out and telling us one name. You try as the seer to gather up as much info as possible reveal it then the preist should gaurd you. It's just to early in the game for this to happen.

Who ever said that the seer needs to say weather or not Diaz is the priest the very next day? We can simply keep an eye on him, and hunt for the other wolves while the seer gathers more info.

Don't forget, others besides the seer may have items/abilities that let them know if he's the priest or not.

How does the items work?

I always thought that seer work 100%. The best plan of action for the seer is to continue investigating others.

The last time I played (2 games ago I think) the seer worked 80% of the time (although I could be worng)

Wow, that’s actually a really good solution. I can’t believe I didn’t realize this before. Seer, go ahead and spend one night confirming my role, then later on in the game, you can reveal my role along with the other info. If I’m a wolf, you guys have an easy kill. If not, we just kept the priest in the game. I think that this is an excellent plan, but I’m obviously biased. I’d like to see other players stance on this plan. I haven’t voted yet, as I am unsure about the “no one” plan. (it could very well be the play here) I don’t really have anything better to propose at the moment.

Considering the number of wolves doesn't really matter (numbers don't add/subtract to or from their power), I see no reason why the seer would have to confirm weather or not Diaz is really a priest right away. IMO it's best to keep him, and see what the wolves do.

Kite, we do not HAVE to lynch someone. Yes, that may be the idea behind the game, however, why lynch someone that stands a decent chance of being a towni? Then we lose 2 players, instead of only 1.

I've just noticed a slight contradiction.

First of all, Absol has always struck me as a very organized person. However, I could be wrong, however. In post #339, Diaz says that his role is the character of "Sabrina". In Absol's last game, the character of Sabrina was given to the seer. It does not seem like Absol to make that kind of mistake. Diaz, do you have any explanation, or was this a mistake on Absol's part?

He may have just changed it. The Pichu role of his in WW IX was used in WW I, even a mason group with a Pikachu who was a wolf. Absol used that in WW IX, except that Pichu had a different ability. Just pointing that out.
