Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Werewolf XVIII: Dimensional Clash: Wolves/Outlaws Win!

I agree that pre-game should be kept to an absolute minimum.

Though, PM, if you are going to fabricate a quote that I have "said," at least make it something that at least sounds like something I would say... :nonono:

I'd also like players who are new to the Gym (or are returning from hiatus) to go take a look at the Comprehensive Werewolf Compendium. There is a lot of helpful information there that will be very useful to those who are new to Werewolf or who want a refresher. I have linked every Gym game thus far in that thread, along with some data pertaining to each game. In addition, I've linked Cabd's "Helpful Hints" posts from the post-game of XVII, where he goes into detail on basic strategies, scum-tells, and how to play many of the basic roles. Hopefully this should give you a good background in Gym WW, allowing for a quick refresher or an initiation into how Gym WW is different/the same from WW that you may be familiar with.

I'm new at this and yes, for the last day I've been reading that stuff, I think it will prove helpful in my first game.

I'm very pleased to see the return of some players, such as Absoltrainer, Waynegg, Dave628, and some new players.

Now, I do have an important announcement, which I will put in the OP as well as when roles are sent out after signups fill. Lucario EX and I are splitting the role PM duties. I will be sending out role PMs to the first 23 people who signed up, she will be sending them to the last 22. This does not affect anything in any way, all roles will be randomized still, it's just a way to make our job easier.

Starting N1, please PM the person who sent you your role with your night action, should you have one. So the first 23 players who signed up should PM me, the last 22 should PM Lucario EX. If something comes up, such as one of us being unavailable for a period of time, we will inform you. I'll discuss putting the signup number and who you should PM in the role PM for everyone with LEX, so both the players and us, the hosts, have it easier.

Anyway, that's all. Let's fill those last 7 slots!

EDIT.

We will be putting the player's signup number and which of us to PM for role usage, if any.

Fair warning. From roughly the 12th (possibly a few days earlier) to the 18th, I'll have finals, and will likely be somewhat inactive over this time period. I'll try to keep up with the game, but I have some very difficult classes this semester, so they take priority.

There will be allowances made for finals, I'm sure, depending on what part of the cycle we're in. Most likely an extended night, or maybe the game will be paused/extended if it's the day.

I wasn't going to sign up for this, but a PM from the game mod has changed my mind. I'm in.

A lot of attention has been directed toward the players and meta of 'gym ww. I think that after or concurrent to this game, we should spend time addressing issues with modding. Setting up a guideline/reference/rules for mods is something that I think has a lot of potential to improve our community.

I concur. But not concurrently with the game. Afterwards would be ideal.

I did make note of many modding issues in my WMAT (link in my signature), with specific examples of things that can be improved upon. There was some discussion of this when that thread came out, but standardization would be helpful as a baseline for future mods. Constructive criticism is always appreciated, especially when detailed and data-oriented.

Well my finals are from the 8th to the 12th I believe, so it might be a little diverse with everyone else.

Only three spots left. Ask your friends!

Good to have you playing, and that's signups filled! As I'm sick and staying home from college tomorrow, I'll most likely start getting roles out soon. I'll let LEX know as well so she can do the same.

To confirm your role, either confirm the read receipt, post in the thread, or both. Just know that we can't start the game until everyone has confirmed their role.
