Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

What Will Be Good For City's?

You only get 1 extra prize for each KO w/ Double Fall, so just 3 prizes. Trying to KO 2 Pokes w/ one of Sally's attacks is near impossible.

Still, Salamence is too slow and inconsistent. Even if it can do that, it won't be able to often, which is why other decks are better.

Too slow and inconsistant? I dont think so. Im not having any of the problems everyone else seems to be having.

You should read my article too.

I think they are talking about some near-impossible double KO with Salamence AR's Shoot Through.

Oh.

Yeah, I gave up on that idea right from the start.

The odds of setting up for that is like 05%.

If, by some miricle you succeed at that move, I gaurantee it wont happen again. Like amost ever.

^ Improbable, yes. And I'm not holding my breath that the deck will do great. However, I do have a certain amount of hope for it & do hope that it makes a good showing. Not saying it will...

Your article did nothing to change my mind. Battle Rush doesn't reliably make the deck faster, SSU should be in ALL Sally decks already, and your draw is weird--4 Buck's Training??? (I kinda like the idea but not in this deck lol) You also have a posted 10-90 matchup w/ Gyarados and a 40-60 with SP...that right should scare anyone from playing the deck, as Gyarados and SP are practically BDIF at this point.

I've seen many other lists of Salamence SF, IMO it is the only semi-playable version. Every single person I've seen pick up any Sally around my parts has built it and quickly dropped it, saying how slow, inconsistent, and hard to come back into the game it was.

If you like the way your list works, great. I would rather use better Pokemanz, and I doubt it's going to catch on as a DtB.

Well, the gyarados ratio is that low cause I havent played against gyarados very much at all.
Another user claims he can beat gyarados 50% of the time...So idk...

My version does work really well. I went 3-1 last week at my tourny. And my loss was only cause I had to go.

You need to stop. You IMO are hijacking this thread. This is supposed to be a thread on what will be good for Cities, not Salamence is the play, which it is according to you. I will also tell you that I along with MANY others will never take anyone seriously who is hyping up a deck that is in their username. I mean if someone named Beedrill started posting how awesome it was I would be skeptical as most people are biased because that is thier favorite Pokemon. I have a few more thoughts on this, but I believe this gets my point across.

Gyarados and SP are practically BDIF at this point.

What format are you playing in? Did you guys not see RR's release or something? Flygon variants may not outright outclass Gyarados and SP decks, but you can't simply call them BDIF (even "practically") with Flygon's ridiculous popularity. And what about Machamp and Gengar?

i do like most the idea of deafen HQ lock, i'm pretty sure sally have no chance VS SP dialga based decks, it's true sally is a nice option but IMO it's not the best, i've been testing your sally decklist a lot and i think it's fairy good, but seriously it's just a good deck, not that great as many others could perform
good luck at cities everyone and please try anything you got comfortable with

DarkTwins: My username has nothing to do with it. I just didnt want to use my same username from the other forum.
Im not the only one talking about it.

Fine, lets move on.

Machamp seems to be dieing in my area. Why would machamp die? Its a good deck wasnt it?

Personally I'm running SP, I went 12-1 with it at BRs and have won almost every league tournament I've been to in the last couple of months so it seems like a good play. Decks I predict will be top tier?

SP Variants
Gyrados
Gengar
Machamp
Flygon
Shuppet
Kingdra

I feel like fire is going to be too prevalent for grass type decks to succeed on a wide spectrum. I don't think Salamence is good. SP is a fast deck, Sally is a slower deck, it becomes even slower when your opponent doesn't play 120HP+ Pokemon. Power Spray slays you. Garchomp C/Flygon 1HKOs you, etc. Not that I think Sally won't top cut or even win a few, it's just it won't see the widespread success the decks above will see IMO.

I'm surprised people think Shuppet will see mass success. We'll see, I guess.

Fire is only prevalent in SP decks. In SP-weak metagames I could see Grass decks doing well. It's too bad there are no reliable outs to the popular BlazeRay/LuxApe combos that Grass can easily utilize.

im curious as to how much Dialga G will get played , im in a toss up between 2 decks 1 gets destroyed by Dialga G and the other is Flygon

Why are you surprised? Shuppet donk is surprisingly good.

Its kinda cheap, (unfair) but a very effective deck. Hitting for 90+ damage and then returning to the hand. Not bad.

Wow you're nice. .... How could I even consider SP to be a BDIF if RR wasn't out...

Maybe "Tier 1" is a better description? The point is, Gyarados and SP have few to no bad matchups to popular decks, and can still beat the bad matchups they do have, which are major criteria for being BDIF. I'm also guessing these will be more popular than Flygon during Cities, which leaves what tier 1 decks to be BDIF? exactly.

Gengar, Machamp and GeChamp are tier 1.5. Not quite BDIF cuz they have problems w/ tier 1 decks, and Unown G which is in almost everything.
