What will Win State?

I dunno. There are a lot of interesting ideas that are in the works - I've had some funny thoughts all my own making a few concept decks that have made some pretty wild results.

The most creative people will be the ones who sweep states.

I'm guessing either of two things will go down.

1 - The first weekend, people win with the current big decks. The week after, people play the new big decks for the surprise factor. Next tournament cycle is regionals, and by that time newer decks will be thought of, so there is nothing to lose.

or

2 - People play brand new decks the first weekend and a few new decks dominate. Next weekend, everyone and there grandma, that have any connections, are playing exact copies of the winning new decks.

I don't know which I'd prefer to see more.

not til worlds buddy.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

If we Get Sceptile, I can foresee a Grass Deck winning some states... yes even with Magmortar!

I can foresee a Sceptile, Wormadam LC, Mothim Deck creating situations where even a Mag player will have issues!

there is simply no way

My deck isn't a secret...the list is:lol: And by the broom sweeping states, I guess I am the broom:lol: I think the metagame will slightly change but, for the most part, won't. We already know what is great in GE so add that to our metagame and there is the states metagame. It will take one gutsy/skilled/ucky player to make a new archtype to go toe-toe with Gardy/Gallade w/ techs. Thats all.

thank you :thumb:

oh and i hope banette, mothim and ray ex d pull something out this regionals/states whatever.
banette...nope....Ray EX d...maybe.

By the way, Ia m tired of hearing that Hurricane will do this and that. It is a solid deck but thats all it is. I also think that even if everyone plays Magmortar and 1 person plays Hurricane, he will still be in tough matches. Hurricane IMO is 50-50 with Magmortar. I would put my vote on Magmortar ANYDAY!!!!

I'm not sure how you get 50/50, but I will say that it is a harder matchup than most would think.

One of the main reasones I think that Hurricane could have a decent shot at winning a few states is that it is an underestimated deck. Not many ppl play it, it has good matchups against most popular decks, and because not many ppl play it no one will tech against it.

sorry, but if you've done any level of testing, you'll see that Magmortar loses to Gatr, hands down. Against a good gatr deck, 70-30 in gatr's favor. the problem with gatr is its other matchups
