Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Where are the collectors at?

That was from a Japanese Gym Series 2 set, that never come out in English along with Imakumis Doduo. That Chansey is a White Star rare, while Doduo is a White Diamond, iirc.

That Chansey is a White Star rare, while Doduo is a White Diamond, iirc.

I think you have the two reversed. Chansey is the white diamond. *Goes to look at his* Yep, and Doduo is is a star. I still don't know why they decided to make it a white diamond considering a white star is "super rare" So, that card is "Super uncommon"....dosen't that just make it rare? Unless I missed something.

Nice yeah i like the doduo, the cards with imakuni on them scream old promos. The others with him are worth collecting as well, but the doduo is a very nice card, it was around when pokemon was at its peak...for the first time:cool:

I collected once...

Interesting thread - I'll have to see if I can find a list of my complete sets somewhere...

Your site idea sounds pretty good Dogma.
As soon as I get back from Tunisia I'll be able to help a bit if the idea goes ahead.

I'm doing some research now but its very slow going... don't realistically see it going ahead unless there's a few of us (one of us who can program a database to put online :frown:)...

The most awesome thing would be something like this - though this is for M:TG: www.magiccards.info

if we could get something like that it would be excellent. Bulbapedia is good but the description of rarer promos are shallow and hear say at times, but a bit of information is better than no information.

Is it true that the 2009 Birthday Pikachu jumbo card was only given out if you had proof of birth (like a birth certificate)? It seems very official to have to take your birth certificate to a shop just for a card (unless the Japanese ones look different to the UK one... mine is practically falling apart and I keep it in a safe!)

i am not entirely sure how you proved it but you had to somehow. That card is difficult to find, i bought one and i was somehwat mad when i received it because it had someones name written at the top but it was covered, but i got it cheaper than normal but would of rather had one without a hidden name :nonono:

No ways! There is one on eBay at the moment for a ridiculous amount - $295, it isn't that rare is it?

Bulbapedia is pretty good for basic info - for instance, I found out what the trophy cards with the photos of the winners are:

- the one with the top four (see my article, or http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Top_4_Trainers_(Battle_Road_promo) for a picture): from Spring Battle Road 2002

- the Trainer No. 1 - 3 with the photos: 2001 Spring Battle Road winners (should be a picture of one of them in my article)

I should update but its too much effort!

yeah it is worth that much, i want to get rid of mine really, i mean i paid a lot for mine it is mint and everything just has a tan cover over the name, at first i thought it was how all of them are but regardless it is a rare card, usually at least $300 for one.

yes the trophy card pictures need updates. There are no pictures of the no 2 trainer and no 2 trainer in english. There ar more english copies than japanese copies so someone should be able to get a scan somehow.

yeah there was a thread up about it but it got closed because the kid on here who pokepop wrote the article for was going nuts. It is a nice sheet but there are about 60 of them out there, worth about $200 and in this economy stress on the about. Anyway yeah the seller has it priced way too high, along with his other errors like nintales error at $500 way too high as well, but still the sheet is nice just not 6k nice.

Ahh, I just organized my sets from base up to platinum into folders ... I still have Rising Rivals and Supreme Victors to go through ... XD *faints*

I still have LOTS to go through ... I have yet to complete one set tho sadly ... I would like to get all sets complete but that will take me some time to do .. and a lot of trading ...

I do have a folder just for my Pikachu cards and it is quite big ... my fav. pikachu cards that I have ... have to be ... PokePark 04' Pikachu ride promo (given to me by DukeFireBird) and my signed first edition jungle Pikachu by Ken Sugimori (the artist of the card)

Good times, good times:lol: That uncut sheet will be up on ebay for an eternity I would only buy it if I won the lottery and then once I did I would make a fancy HD youtube video showing the uncut sheet burning!:smile:

I'm currently on a misson to collect all the non-promo cards released in english. I have like nothing, but i'm gonna keep trying.

non promo cards, that should be easy. If you just keep buying booster packs you will be bound to get them all. The only difficult ones would probably be the older original sets from wotc.
