It's really unlike any game I've ever played. You have so much you can do, but sometimes it's boring. It's not really fast paced, and it doesn't really require you to have quick fingers or good memory. I think what appeals to me is the ability to turn it on and play for any amount of time and still have fun. If I want to go fishing, I can go fishing. If I want to cut down trees and plant new ones, I can. Your town starts with one fruit and through trading and other events, you get more, and can grow your own orchards in your town. Collecting is a huge part of the game. There are literally 1000's of items you can collect, from furniture for your house, masks and helmets for your character, shirts for your character, fossils, fish, bugs, paintings. You can write letters to your towns people, you can go shake trees to get free money and items out of them. With the new wifi, you can even travel to other people's houses and go hang out with them.
It can get boring, especially when you need to pay off a 720,000 payment on your house, but it just offers a lot to do. Usually games just lead you down a linear path. This game, theres no path at all. Turn it on for five, for fifteen minutes, for an hour, there will always be something to do for that time.
