Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Why have you given up on Amphytric? It will be great for Reginals.

How cam you guys forget about one of the most hyped up and talked about combos in the Platinum set? I know Dialga G lvx shuts off their bodies, but they have something that can make them last against them.... resistance to metal. Not only that, the sp's can't really use Unknown G. You can read my sig for what will happen to them. Also GeChamp has problems with decks like this as well. Gengar's power does not work around Amphy and Manetric protects against Shadow Room. They also can't donk a evolution, and they have to be good at rolling dice to kill them off. I know they are weak to fighting, but nothing beats a well timed Gigavolt to paralize while shuting off their powers at the same time. Also, have you seen how many pokemon powers both Dialga G, and GeChamp play with? Manetric will have Thanksgiving dinner on their bench. All the pixies, Crobat G, Palkia G, Skuntank G, Claydol, Bronzong G, the list goes on baby!! All I am saying is to don't count this combo out of the fight yet. I want to hear your thoghts on this.

Because if you are able to play DIalga G LV.X, you are in possesion of the most broken deck in this format ATM. Deafen and Body lock makes bote loads of decks wet their pants as they can't get setup. And when they get set up, they get hit with Remove lost and you are still getting PWND by Dialga G lV.X.

Manetric gets rendered useless when you just don't bench alot of Pokepowered pokes.

Ampy is left to do the job all by himself and needs THREE energy to get going.

Dialga + special metals + poketurns buries Ampytric

It just doesn't hit hard enough. With all of the super scoops and poketurns around, you take more damage than you dish out with ampy tric... sorry.

Defen won't do anything to them becouse they have Resistance, and Amphytric can play with Unknown G, which will negate Remove Lost.

Amphy does have a first attack that requires 2 energy. Read my sig for what will happen to them. I also know most of them don't play with special metals because they are not serchable, and they won't have Poketurs all the time.

Dude, the 10 damage with Deafen is freaking icing on the cake, Resistance doesn't help cause the real good part about Deafen is you don't get to play Stadiums or Trainers, which means no BTS or Rare Candy for AmphyTric, plus, if you don't have Unown G, then Remove Lost hurts you. Trust me, Dialga G is just too good of a deck for it

1) You clearly don't understand the point of Deafen if you think it's an attack to do damage.
2) Of course Dialga G plays with Special Metal Energy, it's part of the point.
3) Unown G may prevent the energy being sent to the Lost Zone, but it doesn't stop Remove Lost doing 80 damage (60 after resistance.) Two-hitting that Ampharos means that it's unlikely to be stopping powers long.
4) Ampharos not only has the same issues with setting up against Dialga G that most decks do (Deafen, Time Crystal, Mesprit, Power Spray,) it actually creates a bit of a lock on itself when the Dialga G deck drops its Crobat Gs to lock your powers with your own Ampharos.

I want to add that it also has G support like Skuntank and Crobat G. Poison + extra damage counter = painful to the extreem.

My son was 2nd in Juniors at the Ohio State Championship with his Manectric/Ampharos build. I won't call it Amphytric because it was his own build and might be missing something that is common in Amphytric. It is a great deck. His only losses were a Swiss rounds donk by Machamp. It happens especially when the only thing you get to do in a game is attach an energy. Then he lost in top cut to a different Machamp that had gone undefeated that day. He had no issues with Dialga G decks. It slowed him down a bit but not much as he'd knock it out in a few short turns and have all his -bodies back.

AmphyTric is such a neat combo, and I really wanted it to work. It was the first deck I made with Platinum stuff.

BUT, however you try and spin it, Dialga G LV X hurts it badly. Macheap eats it for breakfast too. When your bad match ups = 50% of the field, it's time to re-think your deck choice.

Between the reliance on PokeBodies, the horrible Weakness, and the sub par expensive attacks, it's just too risky to play if you plan on actually winning anything.

You spelled... Regionals... wrong.

Any fighting deck that doesn't need a whole lot of Powers to work will at you alive.

Personally if you want to find a quick way around Dialga G, tech a Machamp into your AmphyTric, a lot of people do that in their decks to find an easy way around G's, and until you run into a Croak G, you can just keep taking out

I definitely think it's playable. IMO, it's great against G decks, any lightning deck is (Resistance to Dialga, Weakness on Palkia). You gotta attack with Amphy in that situation, but any other game you go with Manectric. There's still SW Amphy, which I think is a great attacker against G decks as well.

The only fighting deck that's a real threat right now is Machamp, and most AmphyTric decks play 2-1 or 3-1 Uxie (Just in case their Claydol, if they even do play any, somehow gets damaged). Put an Unown G on Uxie and you have a pretty good match-up with Machamp.

I think Dusknoir DP would be a great play in AmphyTric as well, and it can turn either of those matches around if they're not expecting it (Besides Palkia G variants).

because diagla/palkia is so good that playing a direct counter still wont get you much better than a 50/50...and you lose to everything else

Blastoise Delcatty was hyped before states too and look where it got them.

Blastcatty isn't bad in the wrong hands. It just needs the right techs for G decks cough* Pachi and Absol*cough and timing. Blastcatty has enough powers going off per turn to overwhelm the average G deck and their power sprays.
