Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

World Championships COMPLETED RESULTS

I'm trying to follow Worlds from outside of California. What was in Ross' EPIC rogue deck?

So far, we know of:

-Pichu
-Cleffa
-Tropical Beach (yeah, this Worlds' promo)
-ESL
-Zekrom
-Vileplume
-Reuniclus
-Blissey Prime
-Donphan

It works. Pichu/Cleffa/Tropical Beach, among other things, help set up. Vileplume/Reuniclus are the core; one locks, the other manages the damage. Zekrom/Donphan/ESL attack, and Blissey Prime heals sometimes. Something like that.

Yes, it all fits. Somehow.

Iirc neither player had a watch(which is recomended for top cut) so thats why he didnt scoop

I hope by recommended you mean for both players to know the outcome. IF one player is timing the entire match without sharing the information to the opponent, that is technically considered cheating.

Thanks to the updaters, although @HenryP is it okay to post about someone's hand on a match in progress? Not sure.

Like the thought that all these decks are legal for a year, did TCPI just make Worlds into a Pro Tour?!

And, I didn't know that the matches were timed, that was a bit of a shock. Pretty sure the other games don't time finals, seems a bit of a pity...

Congrats to the winners and losers, you all made it to Worlds!

Every round is timed.

Congrats David and Ross. David, looking forward to seeing and takling to you when you back.
It must be all that Seattle RAIN, keeps making all these great players.

Because of the fact that they cant hab electronic devices at the table, yes

What a crazy tournament!

Great job to all of the competitors.

I loved how the supposed BDIF didn't come that close to winning. It's spot as the most played top cut deck was taken by tyRam. Then a dismissed deck takes the whole thing and a rogue deck takes second.

I don't get why people hate on this format so much. This was very fun to follow with all the differents decks.

The last game didn't come down to a lucky flip. Apparently Ross was in a good position, David just pulled the T2 Magnezone off (which is always a lucky feat and probably would have won on turn 3 anyway).

Crazy exciting. I cannot wait for the videos from the Top Cut to be put up!
