Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

World Championships COMPLETED RESULTS

@mosher; While i agree that's kinda unclassy, its the nature of information. And besides, just because you are playing against Bliss/unculus/plume/dragons doesn't mean you are prepared to play against Bliss/unculus/plume/dragons.

Love the deck and want to see Ross and Jwittz make top 4 (unfortunately they'll play for that spot in top 2 if they both make it).

If anyone has updates for seniors, i'd be happy to see them.

One Aus player left; who was in the top 16. I want to see if he's through.

Chris Kan.

From what I've heard from David Meulenbroeks (T16) he played reshiplosion and his opponent (Cohen) played magneboar.

Special congrats to David and Sami though!

Wow, Magneboar? I didn't realize that deck was still around...

Dark Horse.

Everyone was focusing on running babies and such for starts. thats 2-4 cards that are opened up for consistency. Better hand refresh for early game. A few people saw the viability for it still, it wasn't just hyped, it was a legitimate deck that people played WRONG originally.

By topcut everyone knows what your playing. But in swiss it can be a huge deal. Especially if its rogue. Rogue is supposed to be a surprise, something to catch your opponent off guard and hit their weak spots. Giving them any time to prepare can really hurt. That's why so few rogues work in topcut.

but since this rogue has vileplume in a format no one could break plume in, he's got a huge advantage.
First most s2's play 2 of the middle stage and 3-4 candy. No candy means only 2 magnezone/typhlosion
No plus powers which is amazing for dragon wars.
No reversal, which also means the only flips he has to worry about are babies if he runs them. He's taken a lot of luck out of his deck.
But one of the most important things. Poke comm. No one plays elms. A t2 plume means you rely only one your draw support. Last format we atleast had bebes.

Who was the guy playing scolipede swarm? He didn't make it to topcut.

I was kidding...

The only thing that really makes the deck viable is RDL. Any deck that has the potential to take 6 prizes in 3 turns is pretty mean.

Wow I can't believe Josh Wittenkeller has gotten so far, he's such a great player though. It's amazing to see someone that I watch every week get higher and higher in ranking each round. Go JWittz!

it would be good for the community for jwittz to win it all so we will have a publicly visible masters champ.
