well that weaville appears to be an easy durant counter...

also whats the ability on bronzong? i see something about hp in there

Unless it gets special nrg (and I highly doubt that) this card is pretty bad

I know that Stage 2 decks aren't as powerful since Catcher released, but a concrete example of how this makes decks faster is with Emboar. Now you don't have to Oak and hope you draw enough energy to power up your fresh Reshiram. You just play Cilian and immediately have access to the three fire energy you need.

A more nebulous example: The same thing that was true about Roseanne (and to a lesser extent Cyrus's Conspiracy) will be true about Cilian. Players will run fewer energies and more trainers. Why run 10+ energy when a supporter will automatically get that for you from the deck. Why run more than 6 energy in a Stage-1 build? You only need on energy to attack with Donphan and your special energy will suffice for your other Pokemon. Just max Cilian and X-Tranceiver and you can get the energy you need any time you want. One of the major things people complained about with SP will be the same things people will complain about with Cilian.

The point of roseanne was that it was a collector that had a use in the lategame. It could also get Spiritomb and NRG for retreat so you could setup.

And Id run actual energies over a supporter because there is no point in playing fewer energies and then running out of them at some point. Fisherman > Chilian because it recycles and doesnt stretch your resources. Did anyone ever run Interviewers Question? Even when it could get CALL/DCE?

No point arguing, Im 100% sure this card wont see any play except for some real specific decks.

Fair enough. I am 100% sure that it will see lots of play. And when you're complaining about how broken the card is and how much it messes up the game in a year, I reserve the right to say "I told you so." :thumb:

Well that may be a little ignorant to say 100% sure..

Interviewer's question is a matter of statistics and since it was a chance to get energy and nothing guaranteed, it was never truly viable in highly competitive decks. There is no reason some of the biggest decks in the format (and coming) will not make use of Cillian.

My bad, hyperbole got away with me. One of the many things that I saw people complain about with SP was the fact that they could attack for very little energy and had a supporter that immediately gave them everything they need to attack.

Even if this card would be good (and it isnt) there is no way this would be broken. It doesnt change anything on the field, it doesnt help you to stop threads before they appear, it only gets you a few energies...

lets make a bet, if this card will ever be considered broken Ill post a video of me eating one of those

Cyrus gave them everything, the energy (so they didnt have to run too many), a new cyurs and the tool! They could chain it and get all their tools. That was the broken part

Broken...no way. Viable and used in competitive decks...yes way.

Alright, let me clarify once again. I don't think the card is broken. Pokemon Collector isn't broken and it's the same thing only for Basic Pokemon. I do think that the card allows decks to significantly speed up which is, if I'm not mistaken, one of the things that most players (myself included) are regularly complaining about.

It's not the single card breaking the game. It's the combination of all the cards that can take advantage of this card that worries me, but I can't defend this personal fear without delving into copious amounts of theorymon, so I'm dropping it.

And I agree that the broken part of Cyrus was being able to chain it. I'm not calling Roseanne's Research broken because while it was very useful and incredibly flexible, it couldn't search itself out. It did, however, lower the number of energy cards that a deck ran.

Roseanne was a card that was good on your openign hand. Imagine having a bad opening hand and then drawing cilian. Awesome =_=

Not impressed by the unreleased cards. What we got until now was pretty nice but the rest is kinda meh.

Reuniclus is strong, bridge only helps basic decks (?!?!?!?!) Beeheyem is kinda nice with the setup LGM, maybe Chandelure and Vanilux, thats it :/

Bridge can help ANY deck when you don't start with what you need to.

Oh Gardevoir, you're almost always awesome in the card game...

I wish Cilan was out right now, it would be perfect in the deck I'm messing around with right now. But with more supporters created, the more options we have in the way we build decks. I just wish trainers weren't so hard to get ahold of (ex: catcher/collector).

And what exactly is your problem?!

@Dr Mason

Would you play this just to retreat your starter? I was hoping for something that helps big retreats in trainer lock so Im kinda letdown :/
